Crazy idea but you can get those Karcher vacuums for window cleaning.
I think you have a good point about all the moisture trapped in the walls and floor Michael.

One of those would be all right maybe for ordinary times, but as it is now, as soon as I touch one drop about 10,000 more fall on my head. It's better to leave them alone and try to wipe them after I've covered the cacti and wear an anorak with a hood.

Hope you can get it to dry out, @Michael Hewett Unfortunately it seems we are in for more rain over the rest of this week at least so it will probably take a lot longer for it to disappear! :(

Our roofing is on a steeper slope so its actually trickling down the 2.5m length and then falling onto the bench under the front window. ( lean to)
That was at 3pm today when its been around 10c most of the day when you would not think condensation would be a problem, though it was down to -4c last night.

Think the simplest solution will be to put some mini guttering under the bottom of the panel so the bench keeps dry ready for the seed sowing etc.

As Ricky says the angle of most greenhouse roofs is probably steeper.
With Ali greenhouses there is usually a gap that allows condensation to flow outside by capillary attraction.
I just wonder if the condensation is hanging because the plastic is new.
An old thing people used to do was when dry or nearly dry rub it down with a cloth with washing up liquid on it, it breaks the surface tension and the condensation will run down to the bottom, but will create a wet area if it cant run outside.

Worth a try @pete, a fact often missed is they say you should only ever clean polycarb with water and soap / washing up liquid.

I use a very little washing up liquid on my kitchen window to stop them steaming up while doing the cooking.

The roof has a slight slope, but it could not be steeper because I wouldn't have been able to stand up inside the greenhouse. The door is on the long side so it had to be tall enough for me to get in.
I'll try wiping it with washing up liquid after I've cleared it.

Only try it on a short strip at first just to see what happens, if the pitch of the roof is fairly shallow it could possibly make matters worse and start to drip all over the place instead of running down to the eves.

                    Thank you, I'll do that.
There's no condensation on the polycarbonate sheet covering my shelter by the garage, and it is very damp inside there, so I may put a dehumidifier in the greenhouse for a while after I've wiped the condensation off, it may help. It is very airtight.

I think being air tight is part of the problem, a draughty greenhouse rarely gets condensation, it's the temperature difference between in and out that causes it.

I've got doors open on mine most days, as long as it's above freezing and not raining.

I had the louvre vents open on the end of mine until the weekend before the cold spell and must open them again next time I'm in there. Like Pete the door is often slightly open in fine weather to help with ventilation.
Having a gravel on hardcore floor also helps as water just drains away rather than sitting there.
Perhaps a fan (possibly solar powered) and a window open a smidge would help.

You have a point there, Circulating air would help and I open the door on dry days. Maybe I should open the windows too. I don't open anything in wet weather though.
I didn't know you could get solar powered fans, I'll have to look into that.

The builders did suggest hardcore floor with gravel on top but I asked them to put a solid concrete one to make it easier for walking, and for standing staging on .

I have fans in my greenhouses that run directly from solar panels during the day and then are powered at night by batteries that were fed by solar panels.

The only problem is that if you have a run of cloudy days, you get no air circulation.

Yes, solar power is great on a hot sunny day as that is when you really need it but weather like we are all having, forget it!

If the temperature is okay for opening the doors and windows, I'd sure do it.
