BBC News - Rishi Sunak refuses to say if he uses private GP
Rishi Sunak refuses to say if he uses private GP

Is this a slow news day? Of course he does! He's mega rich and prime minister, does anyone think he'll be on the phone trying to get a GP appointment?!

I agree and the stupid person that bothered to ask the question should be reprimanded for asking silly questions. Of course, it would have been easier for Rishi to answer the question but it doesn't excuse the person who asked it. There are much more important things to ask.

Well it was that Kuenssburg woman on the BBC, she was persistent and asked more than once.

If MPs just answered these inane questions it might (probably not) just shut the journalist up or nice things on to something more interesting. Like paint drying times.

Its all cat and mouse games, journalists trying to get politicians to say something they can then make a big issue of and drag out for three or four weeks and hopefully force a resignation of some kind.
It gets nobody nowhere, much the same as shouting out questions at them as they are walking along Downing St.

A good journalist asks the questions the man in the street wants them to ask whether they think it's an inane question or not. Laura Kuenssberg is a good journalist, though her BBC programme is pretty poor.

Agreed, but does the man in the street actually want to bother to ask Rishi whether he uses private health when the answer is obvious? Do people actually contact the journalists and tell them what questions they want answered? I can't see that sort of question being on the top of the list people want answered. I think it was a stupid wind up from Laura.

I admit to not bothering to watch any interviews with politicians so don't really know what inane questions and answers come up. :noidea:

It beats me when they ask questions like this persistently then near the end of the interview start saying we haven't got much time.

I've been on my new 'eating plan' for coming up to 12 months now. No plans to go back to how I used to eat. Only problem now is that none of my clothes fit. My jumpers now do a passable impression of looking like I'm wearing a sack. Not a good look. Have to buy a whole load of new clothes now. The old ones will be relegated for gardening. So...any money saved on food goes on new clobber. I just cant win......

Sibling rivalry. My brother was always beating me up. He never stood up for himself in school..so I reckon he was releasing his frustration on me. Right up to the time where i matched his size and stature..soon sfter which he stopped bullying me. Strange. Mind you, he is my brother and I love him dearly. In fact I am nipping over to see him tomorrow for a cuppa.

Heck, my brothers never beat me up. They just made me be the goalie all the time. Ever been the goalie on an ice rink with pucks being whipped at you? Thank goodness I smartened up after my adult set of teeth started coming in! :heehee:

Neighbours who leave their garden floodlights on constantly even during daylight. What a waste of energy and annoying having bright lights shining through our windows.

@JWK you got me thinking about that. My neighbour's security flood light at the side of his house shines into my dining room. I do have a nice sized mirror that I should put in that window to reflect the light right back into his house!

I have 2 floodlights both on switches not activated by movement.
They are angled downwards to shine on the ground.
Some round here have them coming on at all times of the night, triggered by foxes or cats, and they light up the whole neighbourhood .
