    Hi all! :spinning:

It’s not been a nice at work for two different colleagues at work, one lost her father and our driver lost his too :cry3:so sad.

I got wet through this am due to heavy rain and now it’s blue sky, but for how long , I picked my mum up to do her exercise session on my exercise bike, she did really well for an 86 year old :dbgrtmb:, now just waiting for hubby to come home from work.

usual jobs today, washing, cleaning and ironing our bedding, I find the duvet the hardest as it’s super king size :rolleyespink: as you can imagine it takes a while to iron.
Have a nice pm everyone and Upsydaisy hope your hubby likes his surprise :heehee:

Hi @Flumpy , sad news seems to be everywhere at the moment. Unfortunately as we age these sad events are there waiting for us.......parents passing away, and now for my age group it seems to sadly be partners!! How did life fly by so fast.

We have Super King Size but never have to iron them. Do you tumble dry? If so make sure it has a quick cold blast then take it out earlier than you would do normally.
I always prefer to line dry and when I remove the cover from the line I roll it up along the line before taking it off ,always carry it separately indoors (never place it in the clean wash laundry basket) then unroll and smooth out over our bed before folding.

I absolutely hate to see creases , I can honestly say they always look as good as if they had been ironed.
The big thing is to work swiftly at each stage without any delays. :dbgrtmb:

Hi Upsydaisy, in spring and summer I line dry but in winter with all this rain I have to put in on our big rack but it has creases and I can’t stand that so iron it, my mother in law said she irons hers on the bed but I’m scared of burning something or myself. I too love the smell of fresh line dried clothes mmmm :spinning: roll on spring :dbgrtmb:

@Flumpy how sad. It is gloomy in your work and with all the rain over there (and here) gloomy outside.

I'm mostly retired now but having the big padded table and industrial iron really make things easy for me. I'll never get rid of those.

I hope that your work days become a little lighter.

Hi Lori, Thankyou, yes work load as got a little easier, lots of retired people go abroad for two to three months so take double amounts of medication, that’s why it makes it busier over the Christmas period. Hope your having a nice day Lori, we are just watching a film and chilling this pm :spinning:

              Good morning everyone.

I hope that your weekend is going well.

Another wet day is on the cards here today but pleased to find that the winds seem to have died down, for now at least.

We'll just have to plan our day as it unfolds depending on what the weather decides to do.

If nothing else I would like to get to plant all the bulbs that I found sprouting in the greenhouse recently.
That will be a definite job done come rain or shine I think today..

              Have a good one!

I think we will ... both having had a good night's sleep (eight hours).

Apparently we had a bit of drizzle whilst we slept but noting to speak of and it may shower late today. We are overcast but warm with 14c going to 18c.

I never got into the closet/drawers yesterday so may attempt that today.

                Enjoy!
A lot of them come here!

Glad to hear your all well!

I’ve only just woke up, think I’ve had about 9 hours sleep :snooze: I must of needed it.
Clear sky at the moment but forecast showers about 4pm, maybe popping to the garden centre which is near Toby carvery ;);) then do some grocery shopping while our bellies are full :heehee: that way we won’t buy to much.
Yes Vicky a man said to me at work “I’ll see you in March now as we have a apartment in Canary Islands fueteventura” (don’t think that’s spelt right), I felt like saying can we come with you pleeeease! :heehee:

Loving both Upsydaisy & Vicky pictures :dbgrtmb:

It is drizzling now and both furries have gone back to bed. I have had a good soak in the bath and will go get dressed shortly and now J is running his.

Have fun whatever you do Upsy and enjoy the garden centre and Toby's Karen ... I won't include the grocery shopping in that enjoyment!

                      Good day
It is 25f -4c and totally cloudy so I don't know what the guessers meant by "clear and sunny"! As @Upsydaisy says, this dampness is really the bone chiller and that is why I was so looking forward to some drying sunshine. Nasty weather guessers lying to us!

I've been looking at recipes for various fun things to make such as canope breads with those pretty shapes and also macarons and just a lot of things that I didn't have the time nor inclination for previous to now. I think I'll try the canope bread this morning. I haven't got a romantic bone in my body but I like the idea of a heart shaped loaf to use for tea party sandwiches. If the shaping works, I'll add a wee bit of dye to make it pink. :)

It's a Corrie morning so I'll say good day again.

                      Cheers :coffee:

Gosh how the weekend whizzed by!!

Looks to be a ' good weather day' today so I'm hoping to get a significant amount of tidying up done in the garden.

That's all I am planning on doing today, and I'm seriously hoping 'nobody' has other ideas.

                        Have a brilliant day.

Morning all. It is grey and mizzly out there. We had 7mm of drizzle over the weekend, not much but welcome.

Yes, here we are second week on the New Year, my it is going quickly.

I started crocheting a royal blue scarf yesterday to keep my hands out of mischief.

                          Have a good one everyone.

                                Good day
It is 28f -3c and the sun that the guessers promised is obliterated by the thick clouds. :(

I did experiment with making shaped loaves and was fairly successful. I won't be entertaining for awhile so I'll simply use it for myself so as not to waste it. I'm also going to experiment with slicing a loaf lengthwise to make roll up sandwiches too. I'll take a pic later to show how I made out.

And I'm going to treat my industrial serger to a deep cleaning and oiling this morning. If for some reason, the clouds clear out and we do get some sunshine, I want to be ready to go out and goof around in the greenhouse so as to get some vitamin D.

I also am going to try to take the time to mark all of the games threads as read so that the spy function doesn't just show a whole list of, to me, meaningless single word posts. Another member has very kindly reminded me that doing this will fix my view.

That monastery really looks like a spooky place. Are any tourists allowed there @Victoria ? And I love royal colours since they are so rich :) I purchased some fabric in a royal purple and am still trying to figure out what to make with it because I don't want to waste an inch of it!

                                Cheers :coffee:
