    Interesting.

Don't know about the Monastery ... I am still trying to find exactly where it is.

Here are the shapes. Much more practice is needed to do the horizontal cut on the loaf!

Those look great. How did you hollow out the center? It looks a bit tricky and out of my skill range.

Cut into manageable size and hollow from either end. It is great with tuna, chicken or egg mayo.

That's a great tip. Have you made macarons? I would like to make some of those too because they are deadly expensive at the bakery.

Oh, and I just noticed something. Nice to see you back here at the forum @Snorky85  I really really missed you!

                      Good morning :)

Gosh Lori , you've been busy. They would certainly make an afternoon teatime very special.

Vicky what lovely ideas, they look and sound absolutely delicious.

Not planning much today as we've had yet more rain overnight and still do in fact. The garden is so soggy underfoot. Not nice at all.

I do have a cinema trip booked for today to see ' I Wanna Dance With Somebody ' based on the life , rise to fame and the toll it took on Whitney Houston.

Hope everyone has a productive day doing the things they enjoy.

This Labrador has adopted homeless bunnies.

Good thing you got all your bulbs in yesterday Upsy. Enjoy the movie.

J was going to meet Donald for lunch but Donald has the sniffles and a cough so that has been shelved thankfully!

Lori, for the rolled sandwiches, it is best to use squishy bread, cut the crusts off then using a roller pin, flatten the bread. Spread with filling, roll up and slice into little twirls

                        Enjoy your day folk..

                          Morning Vicky.:)

It certainly was good :blue thumb:. I do have a handful left but as they're not showing any signs of sprouting life I've decided to leave them for the time being.

Yes especially on a day like this a cinema trip is most welcomed.

You have good day too...crocheting or cupboard sorting? I know which I would prefer...well if I was any good at it.:heehee: xx

                            Good day
It is 32f 0c and the guessers say the cloudiness will continue on. Ugh!

Thanks for the heads up about squishing the bread @Victoria. That certainly makes it sound much more "doable"!

Hope the movie is nice @Upsydaisy

I've got my menu for the tea figured out it is just the macarons that might be a challenge so I shall start practicing. I picked up the almond flour yesterday so I'm ready to go.
This is the menu: salmon mayo, egg mayo, tuna mayo, cucumber and thinly sliced ham sandwiches. Scones with various fruit spreads and perhaps clotted cream. Mini quiches. Then petit fours, mini tarts, and hopefully macarons. Hope that will be like a proper afternoon tea.

I do need to sort out some of the indoor growing area in the cellar so I should do that first before playing around with macarons. I might get to it today, or not...

@Victoria last week was my kitchen cupboard sorting period. It felt so much better when I'd finished as I had a lot of out of date stuff that once tossed, left more room to have things properly organized and easy to see what's in there. Very rewarding.

                            Cheers :coffee:

May I come for tea please? When is the party? These fillings are great for rolled up sandwiches or hollowed out bread (you can use rolls too, crusty or soft). ;)
