Whats Your Weather Like April 2023

A glimps of sunshine on the horizon but nippy in our winter shaded garden still. Sleet is forecast for tonight. Temps are dropping to -'s, which is very concerning for all as our ground is completely soddened....add a drop in ambulance response times to the mix, not a good outlook..

Dry, bright, with little wind and 3C. We managed to get our outside jobs done.

 

Sun is out but earlier the sky took on an eerie look and we half expected it to snow.

The flood outlook for the next 2 days has now stretched to Plymouth, earlier it stopped at Weymouth.

 

Not been particularly nice today around these parts either just lately! Though we haven't had any rain today the weather is, in other respects, quite similar to days gone by this past week. The cold, strong wind is still blowing here, though it seems that this afternoon it has calmed down some what. We are having lots of cloud with occasional sunny intervals making it feel distinctly cold outside! On the other hand - we're only halfway through January - we can't exactly expect much better conditions, can we?

A cold week is forecast for all of the UK during this coming week, though in the north of the country, Scotland particularly, they are forecast snow again, whereas us luckier gardeners a little further south will probably get away without much more than a little sleet, if that even!

Today's max is around 6-7C. But tomorrow's max is forecast to be just 3C! We will be back to nighttime frosts once again - though nothing like the cold period we had in December 2022!

 

Heaven's- yellow snow! That caught my attention It has warmed up to 30f 1c with all of this beautiful sunshine. We will be going back down to 21f -6 tonight which is mild compared to last night.

 

Probably brown snow, its likely to be slushy by morning.

 

Apparently we are not forecast any snow during the next week! Just cold, dry weather! But we are expected to register negative numbers every night!

 

For the next four days, we are forecast maximum daytime temperatures below zero.

 

11:30pm and as if our ground isn't saturated enough already!! It's absolutely hammering down, the noise is terrible so probably won't get much sleep tonight.
