Thanks to @pete's latest joke, I've just found out that we've got crested tits coming to feed on the terrace, along with the blue tits, coal tits and bullfinches  The hoopoe's anti-social, he's concentrating on turning over all the moss in the orchard.

He hasn't shown yet, but Wiki seems to bear out the possibility :)
'The crested tit or European crested tit (Lophophanes cristatus) (formerly Parus cristatus), is a passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is a widespread and common resident breeder in coniferous forests throughout central and northern Europe and in deciduous woodland in France and the Iberian peninsula. ' We're surrounded by little patches of deciduous woodland.....

@zenj We had a Rainbow Parakeet land on our table wanting to share our lunch and shared a park bench with White Ibises in Sydney a few years ago, close up they really look prehistoric. Locally known as Bin Chickens!

A rather elusive Cirl Bunting on Portland, one of our rarest resident birds only found at a few sites in Devon so even rarer to see one in Dorset. A close relative of the Yellowhammer. It didn't show very well.

Yesterday, I saw our smallest and largest UK birds within two minutes.
A Goldcrest was feeding outside one of the hides at RSPB Arne and inside I could see a White Tailed Sea Eagle in the distance, it soon flew off showing it's size.
