    Good morning everyone.

How are you all, I hope your weekend is going well.

I plan on staying put today, the first day since last Monday that we do not have to go out.

This morning will be spent catching up on housework that didn't get done during the week and then it will be back outside in the garden this afternoon.

    Have a relaxing Sunday.

Bom Dia1.jpeg Morning all. Just about to have my peppermint tea which I now have with a sweetener. The sun is up but that gusty breeze is still with us and we are getting cold tonight, down to 4c!!!!.

Just another laid-back day in this household.

Morning Vicky....gosh I've just read your forecast post!!!:yikes: That will! hit hard due to you normally having such mild temps.

Stoke the fire ,find a snuggle blanket + hot chocolate and a movie......that is what I prescribe for you. :dbgrtmb:xx

                  Good morning everyone,

Feeling sad today as my Auntie passed away yesterday evening. She had just celebrated her 90th 3 weeks ago.
It's the end of a generation, she was our last Aunt. We had been hoping that she would be coming home later in the week.

My Uncle has Dementia so plans will have to be made now for him.

                  Have a nice day

                  :spinning:

Ps... @Flumpy we did ours online last year, no issues and it only took 2 weeks to receive our new ones.
Why did you have to do a selfie?? We took pics of each other, it was easy.:blue thumb:

Sad news about your Aunt Upsy .. This aging lark doesn't seem to have much cheery news. :imphrt:

We have a bright and breezy sunshiney but cold morning here with 5c going to 15c. Van popped out but came back in and Munch is still on the bed.

Good day - this is ridiculous. I hit post reply twice yesterday when my post didn't upload so here we are, two days in one,
Today (Monday) it is 29f -2c and cloudy again. We are looking at a fairly large amount of snow to keep falling. Oh I wish we had some sun. I don't care if it gets bitterly cold, just give me some sun in between the flurries! :fingers crossed:

@Upsydaisy I am sorry to hear about your Aunt. My father's baby sister is the last of his generation and she was born two weeks after Queen Elizabeth II.

Sorry @Flumpy I am vacuuming and cleaning this morning (Sunday) instead. I baked yesterday. Along with my regular baking I got the shaped and dyed loaves done and in the freezer. Made the clotted cream and had a go at the macarons. I just could not get the almond flour fine enough. Any attempt to grind it resulted in it trying to turn to almond paste. I did go forward with the coarser flour just to practice the technique. They turned out fine, just with a bit of "texture". I'm debating whether to go out and buy another brand of flour but the cost is a bit prohibitive.

Here it is Monday morning and I'm debating what I want to accomplish today. I had on my Monday to do list to make crabapple jelly with juice that I had made last fall, but I did the jelly yesterday.

Think I'll spend some time trying to match patterns to fabrics for future sewing projects. I threw out some old "gardening" tops so I now have 5 hangers to fill ;)

                        Cheers :coffee:

You got me thinking about some of the ladies in my group who passed. We used to have a Secret Santa exchange at Christmas and one year I received a beautifully embroidered mat for tea things and a table runner as well from one of these ladies, Patricia. I had pulled them out yesterday for the tea party but then had a think. One of the other ladies, Janet, spent much more time with Patricia and they traveled a lot together and were indeed best friends. I remember her being almost hysterical when Patricia passed. So, I pressed these lovely things Patricia had lovingly made and wrapped them for Janet. I know she will feel her bestie in every stitch.

We got sunshine for about 20 minutes. I did get outside for that brief period and it energized me enough to clean all of my kitchen cupboard doors. There are 40 of them plus 8 drawer fronts. So it is nice to have that done. ;)
