OH does a similar thing with potato wedges, garlic and rosemary, on the BBQ. There you go, @pete...time to dust off the barbie :roflol:

I would do a trial run using the microwave Pete .We also cook our potatoes in the microwave too depending on size for around 8 mins for boiled/ mash or 5 mins for parboiled prior to roasting. So you could also knock a bit of time off when cooking the spuds too.:blue thumb:.

I find that because they are wrapped they tend to sweat a bit. So I put them in a baking tray in a hot oven for a few minutes.

I just did that! After I finished cleaning some stuff in the kitchen, I put some boots on, shoveled my way to the barbecue, and lit it up. I've now got grilled hamburgers and tube steaks to nibble on whenever.

That is where an air fryer comes in handy. Just a few minutes in there and things crisp up and only a small amount of electricity gets consumed.

I do this when I find reduced pork shoulder, can fit about 6kg of meat on the bbq and pulled pork freezes really well . Was meaning to find some reduced turkeys after Xmas to do the same with, but was a bit late looking for bargains
