Good morning all :spinning:, I’ve got a morning to myself, so going to pamper myself, relaxing bath and cleansing my face :).

Thanks Upsydaisy she always sounds like she’s got a cold and customers comment on it, but I think she’s scared to go to the doctors, she said the only thing she can smell is Dettol or bleach .

It’s dry but very cold at the moment…. Off to make my breakfast, tea coffee anyone ? :spinning:

Morning Vicky, I expect she needs to recover from preparation overload!!

We are in for a fine day ( albeit cold at the moment at only 1C) so we'll go for a walk this morning I expect then it might be garden this afternoon probably.....but nothing planned.

I think no matter where you live, once acclimatised to the local weather you always experienced the feeling of coldness once temps dip.

Our friends in NZ kept on about initially not needing winter clothing ( by UK standards that is) now after 30 years out there they wrap up at 10C!!!!!!:heehee:

      Enjoy your day.xx

@Flumpy , it sounds like sinus issues. Hubs could always feel his polyps as they blocked his nasal passage completely and he couldn't breathe properly.

Yes she said she can feel something blocking it and struggles to breath properly while walking, she definitely needs to get it looked at :noidea: I don’t want to keep pushing her though.

Have I mentioned I’m doing the February 100 skips a day challenge to raise funds for Cancer research ? :) I’ve just been practicing, not skipped for a very long time :heehee:

            Good day
It is 32f 0C and cloudy. Again.

I'm sorry I haven't posted before this. I was run off my feet because I did not know until a few hours before whether I was having a fancy tea party or not! It was a sit down thing so you can imagine the tizzy I got into. And all of the dishes, cutler had to be hand washed and polished after. Basically, just now, I have things back to "normal". Only got the table cloth left to iron and then it's on to my normal chores.

I also had to go into Toronto yesterday to pick up some parts for my industrial serger. I'm glad I didn't elect for them to just ship them as I would have had to go in anyway because they had pulled the wrong parts. The fellow I talked to just wouldn't listen to what I told him, including giving him a part number and decided to pack up something totally different. Got that straightened out after a pretty heated argument. I had to point out to them on their showroom machine, what I needed!

Today is just making fresh breads and perhaps some gluten free goodies for grandson's school lunches.

Cheers all and I'll try not to be delinquent again! :coffee:

No need to apologise Lori ... we know how ridiculously busy you have been of late and just wanted to be assured that everyone arrived safely and all went well. You deserve :star::star::star::star::star: on the GC Rating Scale.

Hope you get some relaxation in today. :imphrt:

Lori so glad your friends did turn up after all the work you did and wouldn’t want all that food going to waste too, did you find a pattern you liked ?

Hi @Flumpy I have laid out a simple swing top. With sleeves just above the elbow and it will be a great top for late spring and summer. I think my brain is under the impression that if I start this kind of thing, I can hurry the winter out faster! :rolleyespink: I have 5 empty hangers to fill as I threw out some tops that aren't even good enough for gardening or pajama tops. And in that case, you know they're in really poor shape!

                    Morning everyone.

I hope your weekend is going well.

So glad to hear that all went well on Friday Lori, and that the snow didn't put a dampner on your plans.

I did my compost sifting as planned yesterday morning. In the afternoon we went for a lovely leisurely walk calling into see my sister on the return leg of it. We enjoyed a hot chocolate and a Christmas Cake brownie that she and our gorgeous great nephew had just made.

Spoke with middle son and girlfriend to check on dates for our long weekend with them in March. I bought our train tickets too.
We're really looking forward to seeing them and to see what they've done with their house since completing the upstairs renovations. Only the kitchen to tackle now.:blue thumb:

We're going to enjoy a bit of a heatwave today......9C!!! ....and we're supposedly only dipping to 6C tonight, not a minus in sight anywhere.:yahoo::hapydancsmil:

I'll begrudgingly have to break my rule of no housework at weekends today and do a bit as we have a bit on most days next week.

                    Have a restful Sunday.

                    :spinning:

Morning all. It is a shocking 3,5c out there and although the sun is up there is a breeze, but we will be going to 15c today.

Nothing going on here today except leisurely soaks in the bath this morning and we will probably watch a movie this afternoon.

Have a good one whatever you do.

Good morning all!, Vicky that sounds like a lovely day and Upsydaisy does your sister live in the same town ?
It’s cold and wet here today so not sure what we are doing today, I’ll fit my 100 skips in somewhere, so far I’ve raised £35 in a day so that’s good, onwards and upwards!

have a nice relaxing Sunday everyone :spinning:
