I have heard/read of stories in the UK and US where unscrupulous folk have not advised of a relative's death and claim their Pensions/Benefits for years. :nonofinger:

Last Monday hubby had his hernia surgery on the other side.
It's nice today so i thought that i would catch up on washing the boys towels, only to find that the washing machine wouldn't switch on, remembered this happened before and i slammed the door shut a few times and it came on to my relief. Went to put the towels outside only to find that it was drizzling, so i hung them in the garage, hubby won't be putting the car away so they can stay there.

Glad to hear it's all done @Logan....just the hip now. :dbgrtmb:

My sister had her knees done a few years back and was also told that she needed both hips replaced. She had been eagerly waiting for the surgery but obviously it was delayed as a result of Covid. Since then she has undergone more scans and has now been informed that it won't be possible to have them replaced because of the severity of her lower back issues as you need a strong spine to cope with the hip replacements......needless to say she was gutted !!

Thank you @Upsydaisy and sorry about your sister, it's very disappointing when can't have the replacement. What will happen now with your sister?

Back now from the dreaded grocery shop, thankfully it was boringly uneventful.

Thanks @ Logan , she's been on them for years they've just upped the dosage that's all.

@Upsydaisy is there no physio she can do to build up her spine and get her back to being fit for an operation?

I'm spending my day so far, just procrastinating. I should be out shopping. I should be working on piecing a pattern. I should be taking cuttings of coleus. I should get off my behind. Oh well, maybe in a little while!

No Lori she 's done all that many times. She's also just been informed that ( like me) she has Osteoporosis in the lower vertebrae as well as the Arthritis.

It's a vicious circle...the more disabled she gets then the less she can move and the less she moves the weaker her joints and muscles get.:dunno:

That is really nasty - I had osteoporosis and got it halted and even a bit reversed because I get a prolia shote every 6 months. I am very fortunate.

Okay, now onto trying to decipher and glue together this German pattern :rolleyespink:

This evening we watched Joe Perry play at our local snooker club. The standard of snooker by Joe was excellent, winning all 9 frames and scoring 4 centuries and a 96 along the way. The evening was excellent value for money and included a finger buffet and a free drink.
