Well done on achieving your goal within your new routine......what are you doing now then?

Did you see yesterday's A Place In The Sun?? I couldn't believe that the couple were Great Grandparents .... Great !!!!!!!!! :yikes: :thud: Gosh it's official I'm getting ancient!!!

      Good day
It is 22f -6 and cloudy. The guessers have told us that we will be getting much much colder.

But luckily, as you can see, we're going to get another unusual break in our winter temps.

@Victoria those fawns are so cute!

I'm going to make sure to get my shopping done today and then be ready to hole up until next week. Two reasons. Stay out of the cold and stay out of young peoples' way on the weekend.

I have a pattern that I never got round to gluing together. This should be an interesting project when I get to it as everything is in German. And the pattern itself is going to be a challenge to paste because there are no references to joining pieces marked anywhere on the print out. Jigsaw puzzle!

Take care all and cheers :coffee:

        Good morning everyone.

Not too sure of the plans for our day today, there was a mention that we might pop back into Southampton at some point...but at the moment nothing definite had been decided.
We've been in and out all week so I'm really looking forward to the weekend

Good news yesterday for my sister , she was given the all clear from the Hospital. We're all so relieved and she was looking forward to getting a good nights sleep.

I must also phone a couple of friends to arrange get togethers. One I haven't seen for quite awhile but as we happened to pass by her house last Sunday while out walking I called in to see her. We have known each other since I was 18 ,she was a senior stylist at a salon I worked in when I was a newly qualified ' improver ' stylist.. During lockdown she sadly had to have a second mastectomy and then more recently her only sister who was at school with me, although we weren't friends ,passed away from having Alzheimer's a few months ago..all this sad news I keep hearing of this year is so depressing.

Bring on the Sunshine and Spring.

        Have a fab Friday.

        :spinning:

Morning all. I only got two hours sleep last night ... compared to eight the previous night!!!
Excellent news for your Sister Upsy. :yay:
J meeting John for their Friday natter, beer and toastie. I will continue with my Emigrating thread. I didn't get very far yesterday due to our pathetic Internet speed and it took four hours to download/upload my photos from camera to computer.

            Morning Vicky.

So sorry to hear that you had a bad night, I sincerely hope it was due to just not being able to ' drop off' and not through any pain/ discomfort.

Sometimes even despite my normal bedtime belng between 12:30- 1am I can go to bed with my brain still in 'action mode' and lay there for hours unable to 'switch off'. That's why I go to bed late now ,I need to feel really, really tired otherwise I just lay there tossing and turning and getting really achy.

Look after yourself and take it easy, could you perhaps try and have a nap while J is out? I know this is difficult during daylight hours though.xx

Morning Upsy. No, no particular reason, felt fine, just bright eyed and bushy tailed I can't sleep in the afternoons, even found that difficult in hospital. I normally get and need 6-7 hours. It is "lights off" here at 11pm.

Enjoy your day, hopefully in the garden. :fingers crossed:

Yes same here ,although I have been known to dose occasionally in the evening...usually when hubs has his daily look in to the news on tv.;)

Enjoy your lovely garden and sunshine.:grphg:

                  Good day
It is 1f -18c and quite windy. It was certainly nippy hauling the recycle and rubbish to the kerb this morning!

@Upsydaisy I am glad for your sister :)

I am laying down, reading a book by about 9:30 latest. Reading a book relaxes me and takes my mind off of thinking about anything. Unless of course it is a really interesting book and there aren't many of those these days.

It is too cold to do anything outside but I think I might nip back over to the fabric shop and buy a bit more of the dirt cheap stuff I got the other day as I would need a fair amount to make this.
upload_2023-2-3_8-7-36.png It is a nice twinset - the length of the cardigan might seem a bit long but it certainly would be cozy at this time of year.

                  Cheers :coffee:

Good morning Lori and thanks about my sister.

I also read a lot in the evenings...well into the wee hours, but hubs needs his sleep and always goes up at 10:30, this unfortunately means I can't read in bed. I also like listening to gentle relaxing music and this wouldn't really work either with hubs snoring away in the background!!!:heehee:

I did look out the couple simple summer dresses that I was considering using as templates and decided one would most probably end in disaster, but the other one is definitely a possibility........I think!!

                    Enjoy your day.

Yes Upsydaisy I watched the same one, they must of all been very young when they had children.

Feeling very tired after a very hectic week at work.

I’ve started my 100 skips a day on Feb 1st & got my skipping ropes off Cancer research, I’ve done 330 skips so far and have raised £45 so far :dbgrtmb: onwards and upwards :yay:

I’ll catch up on all your posts in the morning, in the meantime enjoy your evening

@Flumpy my oldest granddaughter is going to be 31 this year. No great grand children yet and I don't think that will be happening soon!

I don't think I'd try skipping unless I was maybe on the grass in summer. It would make for a soft landing and not be frozen then ;)

                            Morning all.

It is sunny with a light breeze and 6c but going to 18c later so I plan on sitting out today.

The firewood is being stacked so that will/should get us through winter. We have been using the decking wood that was removed last summer. We buy from our hairdresser's husband ... keep it in the family.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you are up to.

It is -2f -18C. @Victoria I do have central heating but you've reminded me that a nice wood fire would be good too. I think I'll start that this afternoon. :)

I have a lengthy to do list so won't be stopping long to chat.
