I'm still trying to work out which hyacinths have the scent.
I've bought many over the years and often some have no scent, I once thought it was to do with flower colour but I dont think it is.

White ones tend to have more scent in our household, personally I prefer blue ones. Anyhow, whatever Wilko's has "reduced to clear" is what I get

I was looking at the pots again this morning, for more signs of flowers from the Crocuses, but found quite a few greenflies on many of the sprouting corms. I squished them between thumb & finger - not a very nice job but one of the most effective at keeping these pests at bay!

I've also found quite a few that should flower in a week or two & some that were only just beginning to peek through the surface of the compost! Didn't take any photos as there was only one more yellow flower than the ones I posted above.

The Daffs are get on with it & in another month there should be lots of them in flower on the balcony! :dbgrtmb::)

Your Skimmia also is looking great. I have one on the balcony & its buds are quite well advanced now. Unfortunately it appears to be a male plant so I haven't had any berries on it since I was given it 5 or 6 years ago.

After my wife & I returned from visiting the eye clinic for her & the ear clinic for me & visiting a friend in hospital (all of which took up at least 4 hours!) I was pleased to see all the lovely yellow Crocuses fully open & basking in the warmth of the sun! :) I took a couple of photos but haven't uploaded them to the computer yet. Perhaps tomorrow I'll do it & post them on here.
