I have Grushovka seeds to share, if you'd like to ping me a £ for p&p or send an SAE. I have far too many tomato varieties, so can add more for you to try if you tell me the types that you fancy growing. (I'm a true Yorkshirewoman and like to squeeze the best value out of a stamp.)

Doh - I just just ordered some Grushovka seeds!
But that is very kind of you @eatenbyweasels. Thank you. I think I am good for tomato seeds this year now, but next year would be good.

Not as exotic as others here with the number of varieties being grown, but we always have one Shirley in the greenhouse as it gives a reliable and tasty crop of standard sizes toms.

However would be interested to know of any other standard size variety that is even better than Shirley ?

I keep looking at the seed packets and keep thinking, no too early yet even though I have a Growlights.

Here are my finals Tomatoes for 2023 (I have changed this list many times!)
Shirley, Tigerella, Orange Wellington, Bellandine, Golden Sunrise, Totum, Tumbling Tom Yellow, Ruby Falls & Garnet.
A few of these are already in the propagator, and expecting a decent harvest this year!

So, if you have heated growing space, possibly with growlights, you could start them now. If a cold (unheated greenhouse), wait a couple more weeks at least. If you have neither; ie you wish to grow them outside, then wait till April to sow or buy plants in May* with a view of planting them out early June.
*They could be protected in full light indoors(conservatory?)

I've never tried but think it would work. I've overwintered peppers and they suffered with pests which got onto new plants from seed. So I worry about that and in particular blight which has infected my plants these last few years.

I over wintered a plant couple of years ago, I had to reroot it a few times over the winter because it kept getting very leggy.
Took some final cuttings to grow on around March, it was just a supermarket seedling that had some really nice fruit the year before.
                          White fly was a problem.

I've overwintered a Sungold tomato this year as I had used up my last seed. I've taken side shoots as cuttings and they're looking fine so far, no sign of pests or disease.

I have plenty of other seeds so it's just a little experiment to see how it does.

I tried to overwinter a Red Robin dwarf plant. It did fine until Christmas, then suddenly turned up its toes.
