What's buzzing or flying near you 2023 ?

Lovely shots Strongy. They don't look like members of the tit family. I'd be inclined to think of them as warblers or buntings.

 

@Sheal, they are members of the Babbler family of which it is the only one in the UK.

 

Sitting on our dock on the Neuse River, New Bern, North Carolina, an Osprey and the nest. My zoomed camera made it that far.

Good to see the Osprey @redstar. Hopefully ours will return from their winter quarters in West Africa next month.

@shiney, yes 'a thrush' but it is a Redwing, along with the larger Fieldfare, winter visitors from Eastern Europe.
They are generally nervous and wary of humans.

 

@shiney It was one of last Spring/Summers' young but mature enough to make the journey here, probably last October/November. By the end of next month they will fly back to Europe.
