Bulbs are all pushing through now.

Bees are busy


Wallflowers are waking up.




Gave all the Pelargoniums an airing today , all 62 have made it through the Winter

Daffs are on the move too.



Love this time of year....so much to look forward to, exciting times ahead.

@NigelJ they all look great, could you do a close up pic of crocus tommasinianus please, i think that's the one i have.

 

Such a lovely display of spring flowers! Makes your heart warm! Even on the balcony I have more & more Crocuses opening & in a couple of weeks it will be full of Daffodils as well!

Mine have done surprisingly well this spring considering the trampling they got in early December. Since a couple of dozen bulbs were planted, 20 or so years ago, they have self seeded all over the area and now pop up all over the front lawn and have also appeared on a lawn across the close.

 

Thank you @NigelJ it's not the same one, yours has more of a point on the petals mine is more round, mine self seeds every where thanks.

 

I'm glad to see your pelargoniums have survived @Upsydaisy. All mine have died, including a big lemon scented one, which I should have brought into the house

 

Oh Michael I'm sorry to hear that.

Ours are stored in the big frame that runs along a house wall and they also had a covering of fleece too. I was concerned though, especially just before Christmas, when we had that prolonged spell of -7C nights.

Have you managed to salvage any viable cutting material from them?

 

None of them are saved at all @Upsydaisy They were in a big perspex covered shelter between my garage and next door's, so I thought they'd be all right. I usually put them in the conservatory but since that was taken down last year I had nowhere else to put them. I should have covered them with fleece ... ah well, we live and learn.
I suppose I'll have to buy some new ones now
