      Crocus istanbulensis
The flower is brilliant orange-yellow, usually without exterior markings, and the style is characteristically divided into 6 branches and is a slightly darker orange shade than the petal colour, picture doesn't really capture the colour properly.

My large (and very old) Azalea bush, among the Crocus. Taken just before lunchtime, today.

I have a lovely Christmas Cactus that has decided that flowering at Christmas isn't up to much, so let's see how we do in February!:rolleyespink:

My two plants of Clivia have decided that a month of flowering was tiring & so they are shedding their flowers & getting ready to build up their energy for the next time!

                    Only this year.
It was the middle of March last year.

All these are adding a little colour to the rough ground between the circle of five pine trees in my garden. It's difficult to get a shot of them all - being enclosed.

Except this one. A single mole hill appears at this time every year just inside the boundary of my garden. The mole tunnels through from my neighbour's 'wilderness' then disappears again.

I bought this amaryllis from Aldi as a Christmas present to myself. I thought it was a dud but recently it has sprung into life.
