Morning. Sunny but a cold 6c with a light breeze. Might have showers later tonight :fingers crossed:

Just J with John for lunch today. There is a charity shop (supporting our volunteer fireman) attached to the bar/restaurant so I have a few items for J to take ... a lovely Spring/Summer salmon coloured linen jacket I have never worn, a long line multi coloured wide stripe sweater I have never worn and a long-sleeve geo pattern top. The shop is to the far left ...

      Bon dia Vicky :)

Hmmm ..yes I often donate items of clothing that I've never worn as well. I once found 2 identical summer skirts that I had bought too ...how did that happen !!:noidea:

It's good to have a clear out once in a while isn't it. My trouble is that if I don't give it to my chosen charity straight away I find I begin sneaking things back into the wardrobe !:heehee:

Does John come back for a coffee/ tea with J.?

Back to my grocery list now.......have a restful day. xx

      xx

        Morning Upsy

Yes, I am the same with things I really like ... hesitated with the jacket but would need to alter it as it has turn up cuffs I don't like. I have bought two of the same before, even three, but different colors/patterns.

John isn't stopping by today by today.

I bet you are on pins and needles. I will answer yours later. xx

At least you have different colourways....these skirts were identical in every possible way , still can't fathom out how it happened and the worse part was ......I never wore either of them.!

Sneak your jacket off to Lori.....she never seems to have much to do does she.

          Only joking Lori!!:blue thumb::roflol:

            Good day
It is 15f -8c and the sky actually looks like it might allow the sun through for a bit today.

@Upsydaisy & @Victoria I have some clothes that are identical and years ago when I worked in corporate, I had 8 suits all exactly the same cut/make but just different colours. I make duplicate tops if I really like the look and have enough fabric to do so.

I have a business appointment later this morning. I did all but one window in this couple's home as we didn't think he needed it done. Now their neighbours have cut down trees and their privacy went with the wood so we're going to do that last one.

He and I land up in foodie discussions for far more time than talking business so I'm going to take him a jar of my crabapple jelly to add to try out.

            Cheers :coffee:

Good morning .... it's the weekend....... again!!!

We have no.1 son here with us and we have the sun in the sky ( for a little while)......it couldn't be better.

Laundry is done and ready to go out, I don't normally do it at weekends but we've had a fairly damp and dismal week this week.

No plans whatsoever today ,just go with the glow. Son might pop out to catchup with an old school friend at some point today ,if he does go during the day then I might sow a few more seeds.

              Have a super day.

Morning. It is gloriously sunny but only 6c again going to 14c. We had a little ran in the night. We may have a little later but not the three days' worth that was forecast.

No internet ... the MEO app says there is a problem and they are working on it. Fortunately J's new system is ace, he just has a couple of niggly things to sort out.

Mentioning seed Upsy, I have had success here ...

@CanadianLori You put your morning bantter in the Jatropha multifida thread! :heehee: You can just copy it and then paste it here.

Yes, it is called the Cpral Bush. All three of the Jatrophas I have are coral coloured, which I love as it glows in the sun.

Have a good day and be safe on your travels.

                    thank you @Victoria
                    Good day
It is 14f -10c and snowing. When I took the recycle to the kerb this morning, I did a little shoveling to make sure the sidewalk was bare. There are a lot of dog walkers in my area and I'd be upset if anyone slipped out there.

I too have laundry to do @Upsydaisy but my outdoor dryer is still in it's case and will be for another couple of months. I'm glad your baby is home for a visit.

@Victoria that company probably has long list of excuses for their failures and must be up to about excuse number 60 by now! I sure hope they get it done soon. I like your seedling. Is the common name Coral Plant?

I've got seedlings and tubers and rhizomes to get to a friend's husband very soon. I would have seen them Thursday if our group event hadn't been cancelled. I am going to a research center for a fitting on Tuesday in a city west of me and maybe on the way back, I'll slingshot right by my town and go over to the edge of Toronto to deliver them to him.

Best get going here as I also have bread dough to get going and a busy to do list. Hilda shall get it done! :heehee:

                    Cheers :coffee:

Good morning everyone, how's your weekend going?

I managed to nip out and sow a few more pots of seed yesterday afternoon while our son visited an old school chum. One lot was of cucumbers, I thought I would attempt to grow some from scratch myself, last year a friend gave us a couple of his well established seedlings . So:fingers crossed:.

Making plans for our next trip up to London in the Summer, maybe ....I say maybe only because I have concerns about leaving our garden to fend for itself , I am a daily dead-
header and certain plants need daily watering. The clay side quickly turns rock hard in hot weather. Something will get organised if only for a few days.:dbgrtmb:

Baby son flies home today and will land here on Monday, can't believe his holiday is over ..where did those 10 weeks go??

Son no.1 will probably head back mid afternoon , I wish weekends were longer.

Feet up everyone and enjoy your Sunday.:recliner:

A stunning Bonsai tree this morning.

It is a bright and sunny morning here, 8c going to 17c.

Just a usual quiet lazy day here with soaks in the bath. I wish I could use bubble bath but I don't dare risk it even though I use a bath mat inside and put on water socks to get out. I am thankful I can get in and out on my own with J nearby. I have been able to do this these past two months which I had not been able to do for five years!!! Slowly but surely ...

Morning Karen. Big Hugs Arty.jpeg to you this morning. Yes, it is very cruel. J and I have lost all our family to it and I have been operated on twice and J once for it.

I hope the garden center visit makes your day cheerier. Vxx

                                Good day
It is mild 33f 1c but cloudy.

@Flumpy cancer is the most evil thing on this earth. It attacks seemingly randomly and from within. It is a mass murderer. I simply do not understand that given the amount of money raised over the last century for research into this evil, so little has been accomplished. It smacks of corruption so evil upon evil. I hope you get lots of opportunities to hug your uncle.:cry3:

Number 2 son dropped around for a visit last night which is unusual as he normally drops by late afternoon. We always have a pleasant chat.

I haven't got much in the way of chores left to do so it will be a slouchy day.

                                Cheers :coffee:
