Sowed some more salad ...cucumbers, radishes, lettuce, spring onions. Tomatoes and chillies are looking good too.:dbgrtmb:

Did a bit of sorting out in the greenhouse to make space for the germinated seeds during the daytime.

Weeding on crutches, or more accurately a crutch  Interesting experience....Why hasn't anyone yet invented a crutch with a hoe blade attached? :ideaIPB: Will perhaps spend a bit of time tomorrow adapting my late Mum's walking frame to incorporate a garden waste bag

Well now's your chance @noisette47. :) Or wait for the inventive students that turn up here on GC every year and put it to them.

I wish you well with whatever has caused the need for a crutch. :)

Moved a climbing rose to the side of the house facing the lane, and gathered up the many piles of stones I've made while digging borders. They're being used for a path between two raised beds

Though I haven't done anything outside on the balcony today I have been busy - dividing & repotting a Spider Plant in the kitchen!

I've had this plant quite some years now, (I've found some photos that Google backed up, from 2008). I see from photos of this plant that I last divided it back in 2016! So it was well past its time to be split up & repotted & I did the same operation today as some years ago!

Took all my germinated seedlings out into the greenhouse for their daily dose of a good dollop of daylight.:dbgrtmb:
Prepared some more compost for the next lot of sowings.

Sowed a few more broad bean seeds as I had a few misses in my first sowing.
Other than that struggling to get much enthusiasm due to it being so grim and cold.

Set my couple of lights up over the propagator in the greenhouse, not got much in there yet just a few peppers and tomato seeds,( honeycombe), yet to surface and a few more, Canarina canariensis, Iochroma fuchsioides, lophospermum erubescens, Cestrum parqui

I've been a very busy bee today! It all started innocently enough - just move the plants from the shelf below the kitchen window to clean up the mess the Bird of Paradise is making with its roots pushing the compost out of the pot - I think it's trying to tell me something or it has Triffid sap in it! [IMG]

After cleaning up the shelf I turned my attention to the 3m (10ft) long windowsill which has been full of Geraniums & Pelargoniums for the last 6 months. I took out each plant, one by one, removed any dead leaves & started cutting them back as they were rather leggy. As I find it almost impossible to throw away good plant materiel I ended up with dozens of cuttings! [IMG] (Also with a rubbish bin half filled up with the leaves I stripped from the cuttings material! [IMG])

I filled 2 trays with small pots of which 15 fit in each tray then I still had another 10 left over! Still not being able to throw them away I put them in another tray! So I ended up with 40 cutting between Geraniums & Pelargoniums!!!

Spent the morning tidying ,cutting back and staking plants in two of the main borders this morning. Also swept up the fallen chunks of moss from all three patios .

Will be back out there after letting my dinner go down. :dbgrtmb:

Spent just under an hour on the front patio tidying and trimming back Salvia farinacea, Nepeta variegata, Tradescantia 'Blushing Bride' and a few Pelargoniums. Sowed seeds of Abutilon Belle Vue Mix, Tropaeolum peregrinum (Canary Creeper), Datura metel (Double Purple and Double Golden Queen) and Cosmos binninatus Dwarf Early Vega Mix all diectly in pots/troughs ... so let it rain, let it rain!
