    Good day
It is 30f -1c and the guessers have told us that later this morning the sun will try to blast through :)

I wish I wasn't 9 weeks away from planting seeds in the ground like you are doing @Victoria but I am happy with the seedlings I have inside so far. My cannas have pretty much woken up and are poking up through the soil which makes me feel very springish!

Because that luncheon last month got cancelled, I still have some cuttings that have nicely rooted and some cannas to share with one of the lady's husband. I was going to pass them to him that day so I may need to make a special trip. I seem to be clocking lots of miles these past few weeks and petrol is not cheap.

I hope your wandering takes you nice places @Upsydaisy.:blue thumb:

    Cheers :coffee:

Good Morning, 7:20 Am here in Chester County, PA, USA. Little town is called Parkesburg, Pa in case you want to google earth it. It considered South East in PA.
Raining here, good thing, continue with the paperwork for taxes. And some holiday planning on line, checking places, flights etc. Have a good day all.

Good morning Lori and Redstar, both over the big pond. ... @redstar, good to see you here again! If you click on the Location of the member, Google automatically brings up the rough location (depending on how specific you have been).

Yes, you can see that for me to travel to West Chester which is just outside of Philadelphia. I would have to drive south some 500 miles south. @redstar the US growing zone says you're a much warmer than 4 and 5 zones you're up in 6b or 7a. You might want to update your profile. And it explains your lovely property! :)

West Chester, PA is just about 20 min drive from me. the town is full of awesome restaurants and shops, and it has a college. And lots of historic homes. Yes, it says we are zone 6 and 7, but I always truly assess each plant for hardiness to make success and depending on which side of the house, where the wind blows, and the plant I may go down to a zone 4 choice. Some winters we have gotten 28 inches of snow and it piled up staying for weeks before melting off. Remember it is a shaded garden, so the warmth from the sun does not always happen. Nice to see that map thing. I am used to Google earth, have to use it often with our "show car" travels, making sure there is adequate parking lot for the trailer, easy access and exit ect. Also get to see "sort of" real life and what other buildings are near, helps with travel views/locations.

Oh, I didn't know zones changed by how each day is, whether it is windy or snowy of whatever. I think I'll just stick with my zone according the map as it is much easier and I'm guessing the "average" for my area.

We have about the same amount of heavy snow stacked up with a nice little topping of ice although the sun today will probably melt that layer off.

                Gosh!!!! Friday's here already :yikes:

No real plans for today apart from maybe popping round for a natter with my eldest sister.

Hope to sow more seeds and do some more border tidying at some point too.

Looks like the sun has joined all the striking mass today.

                Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning all. A lovely start again with a light breeze. Waiting for the rain to start on Sunday. :fingers crossed:

I might ... might ... get out and plant a few seeds today. J has to figure out his timing ... meeting a Canadian chap who wants to rent a guitar for a month whilst here on holiday (not unusual) and possibly do an Aldi shop. I need him to cart things around for me! I want to get a little done today and the rest tomorrow.

Other than that, a normal quiet weekend here. Enjoy yours.

                    Good day
It is 31F -1C and cloudy. The guessers say we will be getting around 20cm of snow starting after lunch. I've got my shovel ready. :blue thumb:

I have a client dropping by this morning with some fabric for me to complete her master bedroom drapes. I can hardly wait to see what she brings as she is getting this one from England, special printed and just for her. She is the nicest client I've ever had. I've done 3 homes for her, all bordering on mansion size. Plus a cottage (3,500 sq ft) and a cozy ski cabin and every one of those jobs was a delight.

That is interesting @Victoria. I didn't even think about people being able to rent musical instruments while vacationing. I guess I always thought of it only as students renting their equipment for the semester.

                    Cheers :coffee:

8:38 AM here, suppose to rain/snow at 1PM. getting outside to remove some more leaves while they are dried out from the other day. Then, still paper sorting for taxes and have to refigure my messy desk. Ok, all have a good day.

                        Hello everyone.

Vicky any updates on your internet problem ?
Was 8pm last night the magic time or not??

We still have the horrid north easterly breeze with us today but hopefully it will move on to being a westerly one by tomorrow.:fingers crossed:

As it's the weekend it's 'go with the flow time' today and tomorrow

Hope you all have a relaxing time planned.

                          Good morning all,

Grey and cold here, my parents are coming this am so warming the house up nicely for them, I’ve nothing planned after that just usual chores and maybe a potter in the garden while it’s dryish.

                          Time for breakfast

Look at Little Piggy on the right! :heehee: That is Van trying to nudge in when he has finished his trying to get Munch's. I love the little one on the far left.

Morning Upsy and Karen and Lori and Redstar.

Having had a wonderful sleep all week of 7+ hours I had a real shite night last night. I try to keep a clear mind, but ... I am always mindful of my situation and wonder what I can do besides diet and exercise

No Upsy, I mentioned last weekend I think the new date is the 18th March.:wallbanging:

Ben the Gardener has just arrived spot on time so must think about shaking my tail feathers. I made a list and J has gone out to greet him and I will go out later to do some plant transfers in pots. I will sow some seed in The Courtyard after lunch.

                                Enjoy your day everyone.
