      They look good specimens!

It's also reminded me that Tesco are currently doing fruit trees at £7 or 2 for £12 should anyone be on the lookout

I grew some 'Bishops Children' (Free seeds with Gardeners World) a few years ago. I've kept them growing on the balcony but last summer they performed VERY BAD! So the 2 pots I had of them I've planted in a triangular raised bed in the church gardens. We will see if they have survived the winter in 3 months time!
At the time I planted the pots of Dahlias I also planted a lot of Daffodil bulbs in the same bed. These are now showing & should flower in a couple of weeks time.

After I planted the Dahlias & Daffodils I over planted them with Pansies. They are doing OK but the ones I put out on the balcony have practically all died!

Good luck with the reception, here DAB is rubbish, if I'm lucky I can get 3-4 stations.

These were gifted to me yesterday. The one on the right has no label and the fellow couldn't remember the name and it has loads of buds. :)

A very modest purchase from Asda on Monday - £5 for three deal - but they stood up bravely to this week's snow as you can see. They are positioned on the patio, for maximum visibility from the kitchen window:

Some seeds from Lidl, 29p each or 4 packets for £1. I've never tried watermelon before so thought I'd try this Sugar Baby one this since I'm also trying a Minnesota Midget melon for the first time.

@Garrett I grew - or at least tried to grow - some Water Melons on my allotment some years ago. I think it was the same one you are thinking of growing. A few seedlings survived; a couple even had flowers but they never set fruit. As they need a good deal of water I think mine failed because there wasn't enough moisture in the soil. I hope you have better luck!
