    Morning everyone.

Off to visit my brother this morning, thought we would go earlier in the week as we might get snowed in or encounter road closures due to our predicted flake of snow tomorrow .....and it might take all week to melt. :yikes: These snow flakes cause such chaos over here .;)

No in all seriousness I want to stay home and make a snowman really. :snowing:

I hope you all realise I will need a good dose of cheering up if we don't get any.

    Have a fabulous day everyone!!

        Otter and Cat best friends.

Morning. Upsy, your snow might be hiding with our rain which disappeared. It is still forecast daily through Thursday, but .... it keeps going into Spain. Luckily we had a little Sunday and yesterday morning to keep things alive. It is just dreary now but the sun is trying to break through.

        Lovely picture Redstar.

        Nothing special here today.

You too Upsy. Just found out J meeting Donald today at 1 i'clock. I will probably do a bit of crochet .... and write some e-mails I didn't get to yesterday ;) as we watched The Grand Budapest Hotel, a dark comedy with Ralph Fiennes and lots of other actors.

              Good day
It is 29f -2c and the sun in brilliant!!

I finished up the two sets of drapes yesterday and am now just waiting for the hardware to come in so I am now a lady of leisure.

I had already shoveled paths around the deck to the greenhouses so I can spend some time out in the little ones if I want. They are so lovely and warm when the sun shines and it is nice and bright with the snow piled up around the perimeter and reflecting the rays. I'm hoping I get a call today from one of my friends. Her husband wants some of my canna rhizomes and I also have lots of different coleus potted up for him. As we all know, space inside at this time of year is tight and if they pick up the coleous today, that will give me a bit more space. :blue thumb:

@Upsydaisy I hope you have a pleasant time with your brother. If he seems more interested in his in-house schedule than visiting, it just reinforces the fact that you made the right choice for him as he is embracing the routine. Definitely an enabling factor. :dbgrtmb:

@wiseowl - really? You just got out of bed yesterday at ?? Oh, forgot, you're a night owl! :heehee:

              Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. Yesterday decided to start the process of reservations for us and our show car to all the 6 shows we have applied for, after about 3 hours got the destination hotels reserved. Kentucky, Tennessee , Missouri, Michigan, Vermont, and PA (one hour from our home). Checking on google earth to make sure "yes, parking size adequate". Now to make the 2ndary reservation for the stop over on the way to sleep in the longer drives again looking at google earth for parking size, and location of restaurants. And putting it all together with some organization, and some sight seeing planning when in those areas. These events will begin in May. Good thing I started, two of the hotels sold out in the different "hot spot" areas close to the event. During these individual events all receipts are kept, as it is treated like a business. So at the end of the year, our accountant gets a packet of each broken down, 6 packets. So with any winnings that is accounted for. Oh, and I am retired. LOL. With many of these shows we get to meet up with familiar faces, good gathering occur. And I tell my single girl friends, you want to meet guys, come sit with me at a car show. LOL.
Off to my chess club later today. Getting some house stuff done. Chilly today, No sign of snow. Tomorrow there is a local 2 day house auction, the list sounds awesome, we plan to go and check it out, maybe find some hidden gem.

                  Good morning everyone. :)

Sadly Lori it's not so. We are having a very worrying time at present . Many concerns and questions need addressing. His dementia is taking on a firmer grip and it's heartbreakingly sad to witness. The only good thing is that our parents never had to watch their only son fade slowly before their very eyes.
It's a cruel and evil disease.....it makes you long for the final stage so that they aren't aware of what's happening anymore and they can remain contentedly locked away in their own little world.

We have a covering of........:snowing:

Hope to get to do some potting on today if its not too nippy in the greenhouse.

                  Have a great day.

Aren't they just so cute? We saw a programme yesterday when one was born ... it was pink and hairless and could fit in my hand!!!

Morning all. It is damp and grey having had a light shower in the night. Currently 14c going to 20c.

Yay Upsy, you have your snow! I want to see a snowman pic ... or a little snow cat. :cat-kittyandsmiley::heehee:

                        Good day
It is 27f -5c and brilliantly sunny again. We don't expect clouds and snow again until Friday :)

@Upsydaisy I'm sorry to hear your brother is going down that dark rabbit hole.

I am going to have a slouchy day. Just have snap dragon seeds to sow and then maybe pooch around in the greenhouse after the sun gets around that side of the house and heats it up. I do have to clean up some soil that I spilled yesterday and too soon after refreshing it inside.

                        Cheers :coffee:

Good morning Lori and thank you.

I have a selection of Snapdragons sown and a particular one that I definitely wanted to do again this year were the miniature ones that I used in my pots and baskets, they were brilliant :dbgrtmb: I will use some this year as front of border edging plants too.

                          Have a fab day.

                            Happy International Women's day.

Really chilly and windy here. Debating on going to a house auction today. The list of items are awesome. Heading toward getting ready anyway to go. If its too bad I can just leave. Never know what kind of set up they will have till you get there.
Went to my chess club meeting yesterday, played 3 games, check mated 2 of them.
Filled the birds feeders this morning.
                            Have a good day all.

Popping in, 9:48 PM here. Its a two day auction. The amount of stuff was unreal, totally nuts what this women (family) had. The auction house set it up with ---truly junk stuff in boxes all over the three lawn areas, so massively overwhelming. A quick walk about, found nothing I needed or would even want. The day two stuff were housed in the garage on lots of shelves, and in the house on tables ----much better stuff. So going back on Thursday. The auctioneers told me that they had to haul out 6 huge trash bins to the dump when they took over the house. These are those long kind in steel, 20 foot by 10 feet. Unbelievable . Also she had 26 cats. Who knows where they went. So the better stuff for tomorrow are decent paintings, crystal things, china, better nick nacks ect. Not sure I need any of any of that either, but going back again. Cars were lined up the street out 2 miles on each side of the road when I got there 20 mins after the opening time. Nuts. Just finished a good movie on Netflix, off to bed.
