I wonder if anyone takes Bisoprolol Fumarate ... I have been prescribed them for a fast beating heart and I am frightened of side effects. I wonder if anyone takes them and has experienced side effects.
Worrying about the side effects of these tablets is worse than worrying about the fast beating heart, of which I don't feel any symptoms at all.

Its best not to take all the side effects of medication too seriously.
Any old tom dick or harry can add to the side effects and they have to put it into the information.
Just try it, see how you get on and inform your doctor should you get any.

I know, but I'm a hopeless hypochondriac, and it's easier said than done. I hoped someone who took them would tell me they didn't have any side effects, then I may not be so afraid of taking them.

Take one, and see what happens, if nothing take another one.
Do you take other medication, my doc has me on all sorts of stuff, half of it I'm sure I dont need, but opposite to you I'm scared to stop taking them.

That's what frightens me. I'm on my own and if I pass out or something nobody will know and there will be nobody to help.

I'm in a similar situation but you just have to trust the doc to some extent, but be prepared to tell them about any problems the new drugs might cause.
I'd prefer to not take any if I could.

Tell me, do you take other medication.

Good evening @Michael Hewett like all medication, bisoprolol(/May/can) cause side effects in some people, but many people have no side effects or only minor ones. Take notice of the words Can or May and some people ,These common side effects of bisoprolol happen in no more than 1 in 100 people, there is much more of a chance that you are in the other 99 people that don;t get side sffects ;)

              Hope this helps a little;)

Thank you @wiseowl ... I know it's silly but my mind makes me think I could be that one person out of the 100. I wish I could calm down.

@pete I take medication for vertigo when needed, and acid reflux when needed. I just take one and it clears the condition. I only need to take them every few weeks. I actually don't remember when I took the vertigo one last, it was a long time ago. I don't take enough of them to get side effects.
Do you have side effects from your meds ?
I feel I shouldn't be talking about this but I am worried about it.

I dont think I have any really bad side effects from the cocktail I take, but if I was to dwell on all the side effects stated I'd drive myself around the bend.

I've just gone on statins recently and I was dubious but ok up till now a couple of months in.

Thank you @wiseowl, you have a pleasant evening too

                      Glad you're ok @pete ...

I don't think I'll take the tabs, I'm too frightened, and my heart rate is within the accepted limits anyway. It's usually in the 70s bpm when I'm at rest. If it's over 100 that's apparently the time to worry.

I was watching an air ambulance programme yesterday and they were flying a bloke to hospital urgently because his heart rate was 200bpm and he was in a bad way, they shocked him to try and get it back to a normal beat, so I think too faster heart beat isn't good.

It needs to be within certain parameters.

I think if I was prescribed medication by the doctor who thought I needed it, I’d be taking it. I have to take four different medications, each of which has a list of possible side-effects. I haven’t had any trouble with any of them. Of course, we all view risk differently, but I’d be more worried about not taking them. Just my opinion
