Molly teething?

Hi it only arrived today so we can keep trying..
When she was seen at vet for op check and vaccination the vet said the nibbling might carry on after ..

 

Yes possibly,as I think it becomes habit forming,it's finding a way to break that habit,,I'll keep thinking

 

Cover the crate with soft rugs to make a cave like effect. and go away. if she knows her howling will not "control you" she will stop. Praise her when quiet.

 

thanks for your advice , molly is around 7 months old not much training so trying to find a resonable price trainer ,
molly is been transported in a pet carry that is straped in to seat belt lock , sometimes she is okish sometimes not ,
how old does she have to be to come out of pet carry and to be harnessed to seat belt lock

7 months is plenty old to get to a obedience class. you can find some instructions on You Tube also. She should be now come to you when you call her name. Sit on command, and down on command. Remember, Sit is the word, and down is the word, Not Sit Down. (mixes dogs up) Also she should be able to heel with you without pulling the leash. Obedience classes are great for socialization, exposing the dog to "other normal" human movement, and dogs, which builds their confidence . Its a good area to have her learn focus, to not be distracted by other activity and to focus on you, and what you want her to do. Takes time. Obedience class is also for the human, you want to know what she needs to know. I always went with my boy, we did it together, 2X a week . then we went on to advance obedience classes. He had fun, and so did I. Of course then there is homework at home, each evening we worked on something for 30 mins and weekends couple hours. and then miles of walking practicing heel, and recall. I could take my boy into New York crowded streets and he be at heel ignoring the noises and smells. Its all about exposure. They learn from exposure to things. We'd do errands together, post office, garden nurseries, hardware stores. My perfect gentle man. Miss my boys.
