Thank you @wiseowl but I'm not one for yapping so I won't bother. Some people like to yapp and that's fine, but we're all different aren't we, and that's how it should be, and that's why I tend to look mostly at garden/nature related threads. I'll leave the yapping to the yappers

I've never understood why anyone would write in a particular thread if they have nothing to say under that heading, always seems pointless to me, but then I'm probably the strange one.

Anyway, I'm going to moan about Virgin media if that's ok?

Yesterday my broadband starts playing up and cutting out, Gardeners corner was the worst for some reason, its also done the same today on and off.

BT appear to have been upgrading around here and put in full fibre, all be it from dodgy poles all over the place and new ones added.

Today I get a letter from virgin saying I can upgrade to Full Fibre 100, whatever that is, I'm guessing they want to put fibre from their boxes in the street direct to the house, at the moment its copper from the street to the house.

Is the messing around that has happened in the last two days anything to do with the fact they want me to upgrade, I've had no problems of this type in years.:frown:

The weather/atmosphere here often drops my connection and GC is always affected. It's really annoying if I'm typing a long post, only to be automatically logged out and having to restart it after logging back in. :frown:

It could be the work that's going on Pete, temporarily affecting your connection.

Virgin was in the news yesterday. It wasn't just you @pete , they had a major outage on and off all day.

Why do some people write as though they are sending a telegram and where every word will cost them? Or they are announcing play by play actions of a sports activity. I see this in texts and emails and posts in various forums. I even caught myself starting to mimic this lazy writing! It is, in my opinion, a lazy and terrible habit!

My moan is now over...

Why do people assume their opinion is shared by everyone?

I see this on Facebook quite a lot. Sometimes I see some random post and I just know the comments will annoy me, but I look anyway. The latest one showed a comparison of two gardens. One was very diverse, semi wild. The other was all straight lines and a manicured lawn. The comments were clearly split right down the middle. One side was saying basically all gardens should be more like the diverse one, and anything else is not really a garden. The other side was saying that 'most working families' or 'all disabled people' find the manicured one to be the only viable solution. It's like what works for them is what everyone should do.

It's worse on anything to do with cycling. The cyclists in the comments seem to want everyone to give up driving, and the drivers clearly despise cyclists. I've even seen death threats on their.

Why can't people just live and let live?

The Child wanted a glue gun to assemble various lace ribbons with varied coloured bows so that her hat will always match her dress. I guess there's a lot in the saying that barbie mums get horsey girls and vice versa. :wub2:

Anyways, I bought a glue gun from Amazon, it arrived yesterday and now I have a glue gun, a day off and Nothing To Glue!

The suggestions from the aforementioned Child include gluing the pink "whose turn it is to start the game"- magnet on the whiteboard (unsurprisingly, my button is black), artful display of wine glasses or, alternatively, tins of beans or chopped tomatoes (at that point she was just desperately glancing around the kitchen), or to do some very useful gluing with my plants. :heehee:

I'll find something to glue at some point.
