A watery weak sun at the moment. The ground is sodden with last nights heavy rain .
The Sussex soil is so wet it must be difficult to sow grain for Winter wheat or plant tatties for this year .
Gonna be another challenging one I fear ,

heavy showers and very gusty wind

Planting spring wheats/barley is one crop you can get away with just throwing it in with a fert speader and it will grow but with all the computerist machiney will make it harder  tramlines etc for spraying/ferting won't be there so will have to go back to the old ways of doing it

spuds will be hard to plant as machines today like clean dry soil to work
farming is having to go back to the old breeds and old ways etc we've gone full circle and now we have to reinvent the wheel ;)

Some early sun and light cloud with gusty winds but now heavy showers and gale force winds around 65mph.

like yesterday we started off the day with clear blue skies & not a could to be seen! But a couple of minutes after 2pm we had a sharp light shower. Wind very strong still.

At least it's now brighter and drier.
Too windy still to go on a damage hunt.
