The is very appropriate for here...

Morning all. What a surprise ... not .... it is warm and the sun is coming out from behind some cloud.

What a surprise yesterday. J's appointment with SEF/Border Control was only 20 minutes and a few glitches with the Photo/Fingerprint machine .. BUT, as he entered Portugal via the UK as a Family Member of mine, I have to go into my SEF Account and "re-enter" him under Brexit!!!! I need his Visa info but he "didn't want to know" so took his nap and went onto his computer I immediately wrote SEF and asked what to do and they responded in half an hour with half a page of detailed instructions ... so I have that to deal with today. :frown::rolleyespink:

Hopefully my plants will arrive today to cheer me. :fingers crossed:

          Good day
It is 32f 0c and cloudy. The guessers still maintain that we will slowly warm up to "normal" spring temperatures so perhaps up to 50f 11c. :fingers crossed:

My Aunt was out on a wee trip yesterday so I will go to see her today. I plan to arrive at 11 and leave a little before lunch so as to leave her to her usual routine. I picked up some Werther's candies and other fun snacks to put with her card. She has a sweet tooth like me :)

Then I have a little bit of shopping to do.

          Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. Wednesday. got chilly last night, brought my one plant in that I put out early. Picture of it here. Its good for zone 7, but temp were edging to freezing so did not want it to mush out. The other plants go out after mother's day.
Chess game, new person, played 2 games, matched 2. Is also a social gathering, we chat up stuff. A nice 3 hours togetherness.
@CanadianLori , hope you had a lovely visit with your Aunt. My last Aunt passed on this past November, now I am Aunt and Uncle less. Valuable history goes with them. I used to visit her as often as possible, she lived in Washington State, about 6 times was able to get there over the years. I love how her mannerisms were like my mother's. My mother passed on many years ago.
Washington State is a 3-4 hour plane ride from where I live, plus take into account lay overs, etc. (just FYI).
@Upsydaisy , horrid disease, dementia. Just FYI, a urinary tract infection can cause dementia like symptoms in the elderly.
Not sure what I am getting into today, something to do, or nothing if I wish. Have a grand day all. IMG_5794.JPG

@CanadianLori I trust you will have a good visit with your Aunt and she enjoys the goodies.

@redstar Love your Oxalis triangularis. Mine had white flowers first bloom, now pink. Lovely plant. Enjoy your day whatever you do.

I have no Aunts or Uncles now, but as I am 75 so they would be old.

Victoria, @Victoria , When I thinned out the Oxalis pot, I took a bunch down to our Airbnb, and planted them in ground. According to the landscaper down there, they are doing well. Its zone 8 down there, the Oxalis is good for zone 7, so I knew they'd do well. He--the landscaper is an awesome guy, he sends pictures of his work . Thanks.

                  Good morning.

It's another debatable ..sun rise or sun set pic Vicky:heehee: . Not that it matters as we decided both are lovely.

Visit when well ( ish) with my brother, but a few concerns were noted. I emailed both of my sister's as I think we need to deal with them .
Walked into his cute little local market town afterwards and picked up some groceries.

Yesterday started off a tad nippy but remained sunny, by the afternoon the breeze dropped and it became quite warm.:SUNsmile:

Similar weather is expected today too so we're off to town for a browse and lunch.

We're making the most of the nice weather as apparently temps are taking a dip next week.

I have no Aunts or Uncles left now either, well apart from one of my Dad's cousins who we've always called Auntie. She's in her mid 90s. All my Dad's side reach 90 and beyond!!
So watch out I could be annoying everyone for at least another 21 years!!!:roflol:

                  Enjoy your day folks.

Morning all. A fresh sunny start.

I have asked J to take me to the Garden Center today. Need to get some small plants (Portulaca) for the little pots out front. I would also like a Mandevilla if they have them. Also need some Terracotta pots.

                    Enjoy your day.

You can annoy me for however long you like @Upsydaisy xx :dbgrtmb:

I'm off to the dentist again today and wasting a lovely spring afternoon - I have another chipped tooth on the right side this time, and it needs mending. The dentist wouldn't do them both the same time because the injections would make my whole mouth numb. Better to do one side at a time.

That Oxalis is lovely @redstar ...

Enjoy your trip out and lunch @Upsydaisy,
and your garden centre visit @Victoria.
There was a garden centre in the town where my dentist is but it moved to another town further away last year. I miss it but haven't been to it's new location.

No aunts or uncles here either, they'd all be over 100 yrs old.

                          Good day
It is now up to 40f 4c and cloudy. The guessers say that we will be getting a good rinse intermittently for the next 4 or 5 days. I put a bit more topsoil and grass seed around the umbrella dryer yesterday and of course there is the other whole section I seeded last friday so this rain is most welcome :)

I hope you can find a solution for your brother's distress @Upsydaisy. It is sad to hear that new problems keep cropping up.

@Michael Hewett I almost got myself a chipped tooth the other day as I was about to use my teeth to pull out a small metal spike- I'd been using them to strip wire ends and almost carried on from there!

@Victoria I always love your cat photo finds. They start my visits here on a pleasant tone :dbgrtmb:

                            Morning all. Thursday.
Today's the day. Helping husband with "the show car". We have the special battery . Now he's got to hopefully jump the car and get it out of the trailer then into the garage on the lift and then he can unscrew stuff to get at the old battery to replace it with the new one. In the mean time hoping there is no wiring junk to deal with. If he can't get it started he's going to have to do it all inside the trailer, pain. and in the process of all that, no scratching any paint accidently. The builder seems to be having physical issues and can't get us in to fix this issue. So husband is doing this.
We are suppose to leave May 2 to start our journey to Tennessee for first show of the season. Cousins meeting us there.
Anyway, garden stuff. more dead heading. On my deck railing the honeysuckle is ready to bloom, and looks like a bird thinks that among the vines is a good nesting spot. That will be fun. Thank goodness my old cat could care less.
                            Take care.

How did your garden centre trip go?

I hope all went painlessly well at the Dentist Michael.

Yes thanks Lori , my sisters agreed that we have to get things sorted . We get one thing resolved then another problem seems to arise.:wallbanging:

Redstar has your husband got the new battery in yet?
We have several nests being built, the Blue Tits have built in the favourite places again, one pair in the house roof overhang above my lean-to cold frames and the other pair at the gable end of the garage. Normally we also get a 3rd pair nesting under the guttering above the window of the corner front bedroom too, but no activity noticed yet.

We have an appointment to attend in our local town first thing this morning and afterwards we'll do the main grocery shop.

Later we have.....baby son arriving! Hence the happy, jumpy emoji at the start of this post.:yahoo:

Just a shame that the weather is getting colder this weekend, never mind..my happy heart will keep us all warm.
