I'm afraid I shan't be able to contribute much to this thread as our sunsets & sunrises are rarely worth taking a picture of!

You certainly get some fantastic sun rises Woo.
I could say that I'm too bleary eyed to notice ours but if the truth is to be told......I'm probably still in the land of nod.

 

@wiseowl You certainly get some fantastic sunrises in Kent!

We can never see the sun actually rising or setting from our flat because there are buildings in the way! But the sun comes in through our bedroom window not long after it has risen.

We have a fantastic vantage point here as I can watch the sun when it sets (clouds permitting of course) every day of the year. It crosses from left to right till its furthest point & then the return. They say the sun sets in the West but that's only true on 2 days in the year! Only on the spring & autumn equinoxes does it set in the West! So I know exactly where West is from having watched carefully on these two days of the year! I also know the exact points the sun sets on the shortest & longest days of the year, again through repeated observations over many years! (Due to cloud cover it has taken various years to determine the exact positions).
