I can't even tell I had mine done three times. I had it replaced on the SNS/NHS in 2014 after falling in Aldi and broke the neck of the femur then fell and pushed the stem through my femur. Had the prosthetic removed and a spacer put n for five months then a new one again private in 2019. Had my knee replaced in 2018. Both on left side. Have no problem with either.

We don't have to bother with cleaning the outside of our windows as we have servants for that :heehee:.

Actually he's called 'a window cleaner'. Only nine windows, two double patio doors, one full length glass back door and an all glass lobby. We have that done once a month and are charged £15. Not a brilliant job done but certainly worth us not having to make the effort.

          It's catch up time!!

A very dear friend of 50yrs popped over yesterday for a coffee and natter, she's a really keen gardener too , so lots to talk about.

Today meeting up with a lovely friend of 49 years, an ex work colleague, for a belated coffee and cake session in celebration of her birthday a couple of weeks ago....but do we really need such excuses.... no not really, anytime is good for a coffee, cake and catchup session!!:heehee:

Also just had another friend phone me to check that I had pre-booked our cinema tickets for next week......:oopss:. Done now.:dbgrtmb:
She not computer compatible (:roflol:) so I always do our online bookings.

3 weeks ago Berry developed a hematoma in the ear flap. As soon as i saw it we took him to the vets. She said that it was too small to do anything and that it would go down by itself. The 2nd week it was a bit bigger, up to the vet and she drained it, she said it will come back and that it would take 4 weeks to go down. The next day it started filling again, it settled down through the weekend but now it's filled half of the ear worse than last time, so at 5pm going today to see her again. In the past when one of our Goldie's had it he had it drained and he was fine and one of the others had his operated on and that was fine.

Today my daughter and my son-in-law came to visit for lunch. Despite only living 40 miles away we don't see them very often as they both work and my son-in-law is an inveterate golfer.
                      Very pleasant.

Cleaning windows, I have a novel approach which works well and with minimum effort. I bet no one else does this.

Get the pressure washer out. Spray car snow foam onto the windows. Leave 5 mins. Pressure wash off windows. Works particularly well on the conservatory.

Even more handy if the windows are cleaned after you have just snow foamed the car.

Before anyone comments, I only do this on the outside of the windows :blue thumb:

Thank you Upsydaisy, the vet said that draining it was a waste of time because there's a empty space and it will get filled again. She's prescribed anti inflammatory tablets, which are steroids, 2 twice a day for 2 weeks and then 1 twice a day for 2 weeks. The only thing is that it can make him thirsty and wee more.

We had a Labrador years ago that used to shake her head and cause this kind of thing, I seem to remember she had three ops on her ear flaps because of this problem.
Back in those days they used to operate and stitch the whole thing together so it couldn't reform in the same place, if that makes sense.
In her case it was down to ear problems and itching, but not saying that is the problem here.

Thank you Pete, yes one of our other dogs had the same thing and they operated on it and it worked first time, but that was a long time ago.I forgot to mention that berry rolls upside down sometimes and rubs his head on the carpet after he's eaten and when we get ready to take them out for their walks. The vet did check his ears and that they are fine. A few years ago we changed vets because our other ones retired and we wasn't happy with the new ones that took over and the current ones are closer.
