Yes I remember her in that too.:blue thumb:

My friend and I choose our films very carefully , and like a wide variety. Fortunately we have never not enjoyed one.

Picked up my elder sister and went and placed some flowers our my parents grave. Anniversary of losing Mum.

I then went for a blood test.

We stopped off to buy a cake before going back to my sister's for the rest of the afternoon.
My sister and I did some plant swapping.:):dbgrtmb:

Lovely weather today despite our 'iffy forecast'.
I enjoyed a day in one of our two local cities with my hubs and sister. She bought planters for her summer displays, I bought a couple of pairs of summer shoes and hubs.......put up with us both and bought us a lovely lunch!! :heehee:
        Great day.

I wandered off down to Folkestone to get some decent fish in a shop in the harbour.
It wasn't that warm there as the wind was coming off the sea and was pretty strong at the time.

Some really fresh Mackerel and a few large cod fillets, but they had pretty much all sea food.

We actually stayed in this afternoon (with all doors and windows open) watching Dropout about the Elizabeth Holmes Theranos scandal. I cannot believe people/entities/etc believed her!!!

They have mostly wet fish in the shop but along the front of the harbour they have the usual shell fish sellers, the kind of stuff you might remember from pubs in the old days.

Cockles, winkles, shrimps, prawns, welks and some stuff I dont recognise.

I agree, I'm not into stuff that wriggles out of shells, but I dont mind the odd sea bourne insect.
I've looked a octopus a squid and thought are we really that hard up for food to have to eat stuff like that,

Fantastic pics Pete, what a lovely trip out , we enjoyed a walk along our water front too today..so nice to get a breath of sea air.

Agree I can't eat any slippery or snail / shelled like sea food at all..only eat fish so long as it doesn't look like a fish...preferably dressed in a very fetching battered or breadcrumbed little number.

I enjoy cockles  eat them with laverbread and some nice new potatoes ...
I don't like other shelly things though ... Oh, and I like skampi in batter

I went to Carmarthen on the bus today, and it went very fast, and before you get to Carmarthen there's quite a long steep hill. The bus went so fast down it I thought I was on the big dipper at the fairground, it was rather unpleasant, I had to hold on to the handle of the seat in front of me.
I don't think the driver needed to press the accellarator to go up the next hill, the momentum gathered going down the first hill would take us up the next one and down the other side too.
I was pleased to see a different driver on the bus coming home.

Had a sunny warm afternoon and after getting home we had a loud thunder storm which lasted 3/4 of an hour.

Oh Michael we have similar issues here, but without the hills !!
It usually happens on the bus to my brother's place and if the bus is running a few minutes late. Mid journey there's a long lane without houses / buildings just woodland on both sides , rumour has it that the drivers are told that as there aren't any stops along this stretch of road then they can put there foot down and make up the loss time. I agree at times it's as nerve wracking as a ride at the fair!!!

I hope you had an enjoyable time though once you got to Carmarthen. :)

We've had a couple of thunderstorms this afternoon too.

Have a restful evening and give Bella a stroke from me please.:cat-kittyandsmiley: xx
