I want to see all the different shapes blooming all at one time!

@Victoria I love your Hibiscus flowers! They always remind me of one my mum bought me when she came over to visit us in Spain with one of my brothers & his family. A lovey big red flower! :)

Yes, the big red ones are the most popular. This one is a hybrid and won't grow as big as the others and has glossier leaves.

The first picture has the one I like most, the combination of the two colours is special.

I agree with you Pete. I have three plants in a row there, the 'unique' one, the Red one and in between an Irridescent Orange 'Hera. The Red opened its bud yesterday ...

They are just 2 years old and took some time to settle in so I am (im)patiently waiting for them to bloom together.

                    'Hera' ...

                    L-R 'Unique', 'Hera', Red ...

They are on the North side of the fence under the Brugmansia 'Charles Grimaldi'. The White/Red, 'Columbine' and 'Peach Blush' are in the ground on the South side.

Your Hibiscus are wonderful, @Victoria. The red one reminds me of the only one I have ever grown. My mum bought it for me when she came over to visit us in Spain, with one on my brothers, his wife & two small daughters!

The very next morning we had snow! I told him it was snowing but he looked at me in disbelief, as if I was having a joke on him! But when he looked out the window he saw it was true! And to think I advised them to come over in May as normally it was a nice warm month without the heat of summer & after the cold of winter!!! :rolleyespink: It was a shame as most of the week they spent with us was cold & snow at times! But we had a heat wave at the end of the month when they celebrate the holiday of Castilla-La Mancha!!! :rolleyespink:

We have never seen snow here @Balc but you were further North and they do get it up North here too. The red used to be the most common here, actually still is. We are in for the low 30s today, maybe 33c ... but it is very windy/gusty.

                              Thank you @Logan.

In Cuenca, Spain, where we used to live we used to get more snow than I have ever seen here in the UK! Another year, no more than about 7 years ago, we went over to spend a week in Cuenca with my mother-in-law being as the first Sunday in May is Mother's Day there. When we got to Madrid there was no snow but as we drew closer to Cuenca we saw a lot more of it. In fact our daughter-in-law sent us a couple of photos taken from their flat of the snow that was covering Cuenca!

My wife tells me of times that the snow would enter over the tops of her knee high boots as she struggled to get to school when she was a girl! :yikes: I never saw snow that deep in the 30 years I was there.
