Yes, they have always been very helpful.

They never seem to answer the Phone but are relatively prompt in Replying to Emails.

Also, I have just Ordered a New Toy

A Karcher K4 Premium Home and Car Pressure Washer.

It will certainly make Cleaning the Patio, Paving, Setts and Driveway much easier, and Quicker.

Yes, I do not have a Car, but, there is always a but, if I had Purchased the Lesser Model and added the Accessories separately then it would of Cost more than the Higher Model.

My Sister is taking the Car Accessories that I do not need.

The Driveway has not been Cleaned properly since we moved here in 1988 so it really needs a good Power Washing.

The Patio et al is not too bad, it just needs keeping on top of.

You'll certainly see the difference when it's clean after all that time. I hope you've got wet weather clothing as you're likely to get a soaking too.

The Model I Purchased comes with the Racer Surface Cleaner which stops the Water going everywhere, this was one reason why I went for the Model I did.

My goodness! Designers and manufacturers think of everything now. I have gravel everywhere and only a few steps into my house so have never needed a pressure cleaner.

I have been trying to keep it all Clean using just the Hose and a Stiff Bristled Garden Brush which removes surface dirt but not the deeper stuff.

I am looking forward to trying it, but, there is that Word again, with it being a Bank Holiday Weekend, I have no idea when it is going to be Delivered

I Hate Bank Holidays

As I have mentioned previously, I rely heavily on Routines to cope, Bank Holidays disrupt those Routines, badly

It's hard work with a broom or brush. I use this below for my steps and it's very good...

Wet & Forget UK - Mould, Lichen & Algae Remover (wetandforget.co.uk)

I have a lot of moss and lichen growing here and the steps became lethal after a while, but the Wet and Forget works well and applications are few and far between. I also had my house roof done with it last year.

Yes, Bank Holidays do get in the way and I can understand how they irritate you more so. Here in Scotland we don't have as many as in England.

I have heard of Wet and Forget but I have never used it.

In a surprise development, I got an Update from DPD stating that the Pressure Washer will be Delivered Today

It has now been Delivered and has been Assembled.

Regarding the Assembly, why do I have Two Screws left over

I will come back to the Two Screws later, hopefully finding where they belong.

Annoyingly, I was going to have to wait for the Rain, which is Forecast for the Next Week, to stop so I can try the Pressure Washer

I managed to try the Pressure Washer out before it started Raining again as I wanted to check that everything was working, that is my story and I am sticking to it

I did the Patio, Paving and Setts in the Back Garden.

I did have an issue where the Patio Detergent was not being distributed but I think I know why, regardless, it is already looking Cleaner and no doubt will look even better when the Detergent is distributed properly.

More importantly though is that everything is working as it should, and, I did not get Wet

Well the Flowers faded on the Two Weigela in the Back Garden, so, I took the opportunity Today, between Rain Showers, to get the Pruning all done.

This is how the Garden looks now:



It started Raining again not long after Pruning the Weigela so I was lucky in that regard.

Also, I have just noticed a few New Flower Buds, which were not visible earlier, are looking ready to Open, on both Weigela.

So, it seems the Flowering was not finished after all, at least they both look healthier now.

Now, I just need to wait for everything else to Grow, things seem to be slower than Last Year.

Hi Kevin,

Your garden looks lovely and the Clematis really brightens the fence up. It's a shame they don't bloom all year round.

You won't have damaged the Weigela by pruning before the flowers had finished but it's doubtful you will see many more this year.

Yes, plants have been slower throughout the country. Last Autumn and Winter's weather has done quite a bit of damage to plants and this Spring has been chilly and wet too, so everything has been held back. Let's hope we get a decent summer but I'm doubtful at the moment.

Thanks, I am glad that there will be no issues with the Weigela.

The important thing for them, This Year was to get them into better shape which has been accomplished, if that is at the cost of more Flowers This Year then I am fine with that.

May I pester you again

I need some advice regarding another of my Weigela, this one is in the Front Garden at the Side of the House and has not received much attention, unfortunately



Do you have any suggestions as to any recommended Pruning etc.?

I took the Pressure Washer to the Driveway This Morning after a Disaster of a Bike Ride, it is much Cleaner but I think it needs another go as some areas were heavily soiled, I guess after 35 Years that can be expected.

I have also Ordered a Replacement Hose for the Pressure Washer as the one it was supplied with just Coils Up all the Time making the Job much more difficult than it should be.

Not a problem Kevin.

The Weigela looks like a weeping variety, do you know the name of it? That would help regarding pruning.

Sorry to hear about your bike ride. Yes, after 35 years I think your driveway may well need a second washing, but I imagine it looks much better after the first one.

I believe that it is a Weigela 'Florida Variegata', the same as the one in the Back Garden.

The Clematis Montana Warwickshire Rose should be Delivered Today or Tomorrow so I am looking forward to that.

The Driveway certainly looks better for being Cleaned.

I should have taken a Photo of it before Cleaning but after the Bike Ride debacle I was not thinking particularly well.

I have also Ordered a Replacement Hose for the Pressure Washer as the one that is supplied with it just gets tangled all the Time making things frustrating.
