    Good day
It is 58f 13c and the sky is covered in a thin layer of grey. Amazingly it got up to 86f 27c yesterday and it sure made planting out a warm activity. But other than one tray of poorly coleus seeds, most of my seedlings are enjoying their new freedom.

@Victoria I'm glad you got a steady sleep. It is so refreshing. :)

@Upsydaisy my number 2 son spent a few hours with me yesterday. Just sitting and chatting. It was quite pleasant. He was quite astonished at how the birds are so used to me as a couple came by and "sat" near us!

@redstar I'm looking forward to pictures of your show car. :blue thumb: The electrical wire situation is quite puzzling since you trailer it rather than drive on long trips. Overheating wires is can quickly leave one stranded on the side of the road if it's hot enough to melt the sheathing. :hate-shocked:

@Michael Hewett I was thinking of you a little while ago because I have an urge for a custard slice. And thinking about our recent discussion, it gave me a great idea. Instead of Mother's Day gifts, I'll ask my sons, once a year, when they are passing a bakery on the way here, to stop and get me one. That would be affordable and bring both of us a smile.

I've got granddaughters coming around 11 this morning and am going to put together an activity to teach some life skills. One granddaughter likes sewing and the other does not so any sewing will only happen when the one is here alone so as not to leave the other feeling "outside". So today, I'm going to teach them how to use a power drill and all about the different screws, screw heads, threads and such. We'll work up to making something they can use. That will take some research - maybe a cell phone stand, or hair tie hanger board or whatever.

I've got laundry on the go and also need to do my Hilda act so I best get going here.

    Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. Saturday. 5/13/23. Happy Mothers' Day for the USA here. Misty rain.
Now I can plant some outdoor seeds in pots as this is the last day of possible frost. and its misty raining. Planted two alreay. doing some paperwork, laundry, unloading dishwasher, sweeping deck from that pollen. Made myself a big bowl of mixed fruit for breakefast. and is 9:16 Am only

As we run the "show car" as a business, have to arrange the receipts ect. adding them, ect. hotels, meals, gas cost, miles, etc. makes it easier come next April (tax time) to add it all up.
Anyway, yes, @CanadianLori , the melted covers on the spark plug wires are a wonderment to husband also, he thinks, that because we ran the car stationary to run out some of the old gas, that it heated in general. And yes, the car runs on the street maybe one mile from the trailer to the car show place, making it rounds through the crowds to find a location to park in. I will have to upload the pics from my cell here for you all to see. So husband ordered more of those covers for the wires and he has to work on replacement of before the next show. The only issue is the engine has a engine over, not sure if it has to be removed, but if so it takes two people with careful movement as to not scratch paint etc. I do have other pics. will work on those later. But ---the car has her own facebook, yes her own facebook. So if you wish you can go on and look ----many pics are there, Her facebook is titled. Sasha Show Car Public.
Yes, the car's name is "Sasha", and her tow car's name is Romeo.

Well, back to the ---whatever I am suppose to get done. and planning to make some noise now putting dishes away from dishwasher---as husband is napping---its 9:31 AM. I am not passive aggressive in the least.

a few shots of Sasha the car.
Engine cover is the first shot.
Two last shots when we were up in Syacuse, NY, at the Winfield show---we were selected to be one of 6 cars across the USA for that show. Sasha was up against a Riddler and a Grade 8 car.
Had we known those two were to show we probably would have not gone, we don't have over a milion $$$ in our car. Anyway.

Yes, in an outdoor show, without the stanchions she has a crowd around her. I have to keep an eagle eye out for any loose purses, or folks that get to close with belt buckles. Or CHILDREN. but 99% of the time, folks walk about her with hands behind their backs and purses held tightly over their side. So much easier with an indoor show with the stanchions, carpeting etc. being inside we just sit with our chairs, or get up and walk about knowing she is safe. And we can leave her for the overnight in the building as there are security guards all night there. However, one time we found finger prints on her from an overnight, blamed the guards, they must have touched her.

              Good morning everyone. :)

              Eurovision..Sweden were my favourite...and they won!!:hapydancsmil:

On the whole the songs were very good this year with only a few wacky ones.

My cousins and I are in a WhatsApp group chat, so last night we engaged in a Eurovision night and it was never-ending messages throughout the programme... a lot of us also liked ( my no.2 choice) Cyprus too...we all had a fun virtual get together until 12:45am!!

Once again not a bad forecast for today, so will hopefully get on with preparing the borders and searching for gaps to fill with all the 100's of waiting plants.:yikes:

I did make a start yesterday morning but got distracted by deciding to wash the curtains in our kitchen, snug lounge and our bedroom as it was such a lovely warm day.

Have a peaceful and relaxing Sunday everyone.

              :spinning:

Exercise time here ... we will start off with gentle stretches.

                No visitations in the night.

Yes, we also went for Sweden ... apparently this is her second win. I also liked Switzerland, Cyprus and Italy (I went for the boys ;)) and we liked Australia.

Just a Pleasant Valley (or is it Orchard) Sunday here with an afternoon movie.

                  Good day
It is 50f 14c and sunny. The guessers say it won't be as warm as yesterday but anything with sunshine suits me just fine.

@redstar Sasha is a beauty! And it was a surprise to me that it was Mother's Day there yesterday. Ours is always on the second Sunday in May, which is today.

I've got the ingredients laid out to make waffles for the granddaughters when they get up. I've got lots of maple syrup for them to drown them in too. ;)

This morning is my usual linen washing while Corrie watching morning and then I go to take one granddaughter home which is about an hour from me.

After that, I visit my friends for an hour or so and just plain relax.

                  Have a lovely day all.

                  Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. 7:27AM here. Gardens are wet after much rain yesterday. Will do some bed cleaning about today for a few hours. And a few hours of household cleaning.
Have some research to do for a camera to mount on the trailer for back views, make it easier on husband when he drives. Also continue trip planning for rest of summer's events.

I thought this does spell check, does not seem to do spell check. Interesting.
Ok, all have a good day.

                      Good morning, how's everyone today?

We had perfect weather this past weekend , warm, a tad too warm at times:SUNsmile::phew: ,and perfect for spending the whole 2 days out in the garden, enjoying all meals out there too. Loved it!!!

Meeting up with a couple of friends today at lunchtime then we're off to the cinema.
2 days of being out in the garden from 9:15am until just after 8pm has meant that I've slept really well, just hope I don't doze off in the cinema!!:snooze::heehee:

Sorry Lori, I've invited myself over, I hope you don't mind...... I so love waffles!!;)

                      Have a super day.

                          Morning Vicky.

Thank you it was lovely, not all work, lots of sitting and taking stock of the borders and sussing out what will go where later in the week when the big plant out begins.
One thing I did definitely decide on is that some of the Dahlias will remain potted as I wanted to get some established in the far side borders which are clay. I did the research and it can be done but you really need to ensure the planting area is well worked and then kept loose which can be hard during the summer as it quickly turns solid!! The price we pay for living in a clay quarry area I suppose. So pots it will be  :dbgrtmb:

This week our weather ,at the moment :fingers crossed:, is looking good....so let the planting out commence!!! :hapydancsmil:

Will email you later, enjoy your day.xx
