Meanwhile, still safety indoors....

 

Spotted a perennial weed in the conservatory.

 

Said weed might look innocent and rather sleepy but, id definitely be keeping an eye on it.

 

Indeed. It's a bit purrnicious!

 

First flowers on bloody butcher and godorst sibiri, same as last year, I noticed them on the 15th last year

 

Fruits! Indoors on Bloody Butcher ( Bloody Mary variant) and outdoors on Hertzfeuer, another East German tough nut.

 

My tomato seedlings have never been so behind as they are this year! They look terrible & unless I can plant them outside in the next two weeks I'm unlikely to get a "crop" again this year! Last year I didn't get a crop because of wilt this year it may be because they didn't get past the seedling stage!

 

I think we/most are behind with Tomatoes due to the weather. I sowed my seeds at least 3 weeks later.
I'm sure they will come good in time.

 

Maybe get a few from shops. Even with growing own I still bought one in Morrisons. They had a few varieties on offer.

 

Isn't it good that many of us are behind with our planting? I say this to appreciate that we are not creatures that can rule over nature. What we can be certain about is that we can start to destroy the nature of things! OK it's just the weather telling us who is boss. In my experience things will even out.
Hang on ....... what about those folk who are AHEAD OF THE GAME ALREADY? Well they are the AI robots already running things! Yes they appear to be 'normal' gardeners but that's how clever they are!! My Tom's are all pricked out and slowly getting to be a dark green colour. Give them two weeks and some might show me a micro truss even. I've got faith in them and just bought 6 more gropots!!!

 

What did I tell you,! Re repairing greenhouse! It can be repaired at a reasonable price (except I'll still have all the previously self repaired bits!) However he, the repairer, has an other greenhouse which he'll install for me having taken mine down first! So £300 for the whole job!! Can't go wrong can I? Let you know how much more I have to pay!
So perhaps I will have my Tom's in a greenhouse after all!

 

Is that wooden or ali?

 

Ali with glass, but not sure if horticulture or the stronger sort (forgotten the name) He doesn't like plastic, which more expensive than glass! Saw an account suggesting plastic in greenhouses made them susceptible to blowing away! I've got some in mine and the wind doesn't half rattle it. Those bits have darkened already so won't mind chucking the 50 year old thing away!
