The Tibouchina urvillea *right) and Ipomoea palmata (left) plugs arrived safely today ...
      Plantlets 27 Apr 23.jpg

... so I will plant them later when it is cooler. Couldn't help myself :rolleyespink: so ordered three unrooted cuttings of Abutilon Double Pink 'Victorian Lady' from same supplier in Spain for £4 + £2.50 post.

Took a half day off work today and went to my local Blue Diamond Garden Centre. This is my little haul that I carried back on the bus as I don't drive!

I didn't take a pic but went to a local nursery / garden centre and picked up some bargain conifers. A £60 thuja for £5 as well as a couple of others. Quite chuffed with that but they need a bit of tlc. Also grabbed a new salvia to start replacing all the ones that died

Spent an hour at Dobbies, brilliant plants but I'm not paying their prices! Then a indoors Platycerium jumped at me in the discount section, I had one when I was a teenager. (A Platycerium, not a discount section.) It's a fun plant and just right for my kitchen windowsill.

Browsed food hall section and invested in some Cherry Bakewells. On our way to pay I realised that our purchases made us look like a proper cheapskates (which we are :heehee:), so we were forced to return to the plants and buy the Lewisia I had lusted after. :noidea: The Child wanted a Saxifraga.

                haul.jpg

The trip was delightful, it's 45 mins nice walk there. Unfortunately it's also 45 minutes walk back. But it was well worth it, from now on I will only visit garden centres during coronations. :dbgrtmb:

I've picked some plants up today ( no pics ) x2 morina longifolia - x1 Penstemon Garnet - x1 Salvia Indigo spires - X1 Nepeta govanina . I had all these plants last year frost was the main cause and my indecision of not planting out also didn't help. My 15 primula candelabra turned up yesterday from JParkers I were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the plants.

                    • The plant on the offer measures 8 cm tall
                    • We will send the plant showed on the photo.

Got it for 9 Euros in an Auction ... I was the only bidder.
Coming from Spain but no one I have dealt with before.

I wanted to show you my new gardening apron with lots of pockets. I thought it would be handy because I seem to spend half my life looking for things, but now I can put them safely in one of the pockets :dbgrtmb:

                        127_2953 - Copy.JPG

The only drawback is you have to remember to put the things into the pockets !
and it's a bit stiff for bending in.

(excuse the rest of the attire - I'm gardening
                       )
