Rhipsalis pilocarpa 2023

Well not tooooo large.
Can I say the compost looks a bit claggy.
Picture 25th may 003 appears to have a root bottom right.

 

Claggy? It's Cactus & Succulent compost!

No such luck, Pete, with rooting! What you see I think is just one of the hairs pointing down.

 

Well it doesn't look like cactus compost but you probably need something with a bit more fibre for these.
I was looking at this bit here in red.

 

@pete, I took a closer look at the actual plant itself after your comment but it definitely isn't a root, just a hair.

As my original plant + the rooted cutting from it which I took the day it arrived + the rest of the cuttings I took some months ago, including the one above, sit in the Bird of Paradise pot. They have been there for several months now together with a couple of Epiphyllum (Orchid Cacti) small plants.

I've just taken this photo & I see that one of the cuttings IS producing roots.

Sorry about the terrible colour! I'll have to take another picture tomorrow in daylight & not under artificial light.

This is where all the little plants are now. They are in the shadiest corner of the balcony while they acclimatise to the great outdoors.

These are still alive & I hope they will continue for years more!
