Whats Your Weather Like May 2023

May nearly always has good weather here in the Highlands @Balc but this year, with the weather having been bad since last autumn, has got off to a late start. Although it's been pretty much dry throughout this month, it's only this last week that the temperature has picked up.

At some point during the last couple of hours we have had some light rain as when I looked out the window I noticed that the pavement seemed damp. When I looked out on to the balcony I saw the drip line was also damp. A few raindrops were visable on the foliage of the plants.

We have 10C at present but the max forecast for the day is around 16C.

The sky is completely covered by clouds which are not forecast to break up letting any sunshine through

 

Should be more comfortable out in the garden today with a bit of cloud coverage.

We had some drizzle last night but it's dry now, got a feeling that the wind is a bit lighter, but that can just spring back up in a few moments.

Thick clouds and 12c.

 

From 6 till 7 we had light drizzle, now just cloudy with a moderate breeze from the north east temp 11c feels like 9c.

 

Sunny with a light breeze,17c going to 25c.

 

Cold again with that NE Wind .50/50 cold and blue bits.

Cool and cloudy today after wall to wall sun yesterday, important thing overnight 11.5 inside the greenhouse and tomatoes are setting fruit, just had first feed of seaweed liquid. I have made my own nettle tea feed, but that will be another couple of weeks before it's brewed.

 

I've an old work colleague near you, he always talked of extremes of weather in the North West, at least on the East side we know what we are going to get, Harr most of the time

 

Thick cloud and a moderate breeze from the east north east temp 15c feels like 14c

 

Sunny, breezy, 24c.

 

We've had wall to wall sunshine since around 10:30 this morning.
