I think it's still relevant, and it presents different scenarios and informs if culling would be allowed in those circumstances.

Been out in the garden all morning, planting out Snap Dragons and some Geraniums.

I had be debating whether or not to move a Dahilia that I planted out last year because a nearby shrub has had a huge growth spurt this year and was hiding most of it.....so I nervously decided that today was the day, thankfully it came up easily with an attached mound of soil so the removal was a very gentle procedure after all. :phew:

            Hi,

Thanks @john558 normally I'd agree but are you as troubled by large amounts of pigeon mess?

I've just come indoors after for the millionth time cleaning the patio; steps and handrails; I'm sick of it. Our farmers used to use a 12 bore shotgun to blast an hole through pigeon nests but this is extreme and I've no intention of causing physical harm to anyone or anything. Live and let live works both ways. No offense meant in the least.

            Kind regards, Colin.

I get pigeon mess, crow mess, blackbird mess, sparrow mess, magpie mess, some heron mess.

Im not good at working out who did what.

But I know pigeons can be a problem in certain situations, mostly in towns where buildings mimic their normal nesting and roosting areas.
I'm not bothered by the odd wood pigeon in my garden, i get a few but they cause no lasting damage.

The back door glass two days after it was washed. I'm sure the pigeon was whistling

                  Hi,

I'll have a go tomorrow playing this in the garden near the tree using my laptop computer. I can wander around carrying the laptop?

                  Kind regards, Colin.

                          Hi,

I've just wandered up our mountain armed with laptop as a Peregrine Falcon; not an actual bird but one on memory stick playing through my laptop; I've never seen pigeons disappear at such speed in all directions in fact all the birds made a rapid exit; just the pigeons I want to evict I hope the smaller birds return but I'll keep doing this until I torment the pigeons as much as they've tormented me. It's nice to give them a reason to poo.

                          Kind regards, Colin

                              Hi,

Four pigeons back on our patio together with lots of blackbirds; I'm about to wander back up the mountain to give them an evening call.

                              Kind regards, Colin.
