Nothing today - giving my back a rest before tackling the balcony table which I hope to take down tomorrow. I had planned on taking the mini-greenhouse down at the same time, like I have done in previous years but as it's chock-a-block full of seedlings I pricked out the other day I think I will need to wait another week so they can become adjusted to their new pots, trays.

      Hi,

Shopping done by 7:30 this morning and am now having a mug of tea before today's hostilities.

      Pigeons_0003_02.JPG
      Pigeon decoration. :wallbanging:

      Clean again_0001.JPG
Pressure washing AGAIN. The pigeons stains linger even after a powerful pressure wash; I evicted the pigeons removing three nests so fingers crossed I'll not be cleaning up after them on a daily basis; the pigeons are still around and I'm keeping a keen eye on them watching if they start to collected twigs; they're evicted and will remain evicted. Absolutely dirty birds.

I feel a violin practice coming on so it's not all bad news.

      Have a great day everyone.

      Kind regards, Colin.

I didn't do any gardening as such yesterday I just took down the mini-greenhouse & the big white table that lives in the corner of the balcony for about 7 months of the year.
First I had to remove all the seedtrays & put them on the far end of the floor, which ended up taking about a third of the floor up! Then the delicate task of the dismantling could begin

It's like a ballet show, tiptoeing around everything trying not to put your feet in the seedtrays or trip over the plants in pots at the same time as moving pots around to not fall over them or crush them with the table! Eventually I managed to get them down & put in their summer places - all without breaking anything! A miracle I call it!

Did a lot of weeding, had a lot of Cleavers growing up on everything and docks that are going to seed to try and pull up. The back grass needs cutting, it's about a foot high but haven't got around to doing it because I'm trying to plant all of the summer plants in.

More planting out and still walking round in circles trying to figure out where to plant the remaining Fuchsias ..:noidea: Divided up some Heucheras.
Trimmed up some bully shrubs that I don't want to get rid of but have promised myself that this year I'll keep them in check.

It's too warm now so I have saved some indoor chores to do and will continue out in the garden about 4 ish.

              Hi,

Your jobs are ganging up on you Logan; I hope you've got all the cleavers out because once they seed they become an even bigger nightmare; I'm cleaver hunting most days.

Please be careful pulling docks out because I'm sure lots of them are welded to the ground and you want to pull docks not your back.

It sounds like a difficult call; do the jobs or get the summer plants in.

              Good luck and take care.

              Kind regards, Colin.

Good afternoon everyone I have now finished the area outside of the house (The Steps) there is an answer to the colour scheme as Mrs Woo is always informing yours truly that "Not everything is black and white" so that's the reason I have used these two colours, tomorrow I shall be using a new word "Masonryating"the path:heehee::heehee::heehee:

                  Hi,

Top job @wiseowl very neat and looking good; well done; Mrs wiseowl suitably impressed.

I too have been busy; not everyone can boast they've been bitten by a Yeti but I have this afternoon. Our car is a Skoda Yeti and I've been changing its wheels front to back jacking a side up at a time using two jacks.

                  I used to own my own garage business over 40 years ago so this was a very easy job for me to do. With the wheels sorted out I started to place the heavy spare wheel in the boot well; not the easiest of jobs it being so heavy and a tight fit; as I lowered the wheel it suddenly dropped biting me;

No violin playing tonight but finger lives to fight another day. :wallbanging:

The worst part was I didn't get a sweet for not crying.

                  Kind regards, Colin.

I put the last of the pots from the kitchen out on the balcony today. They were a big Bird of Paradise pot with lots of small succulents plants as well as the 2 pots of Clivias.

                          Hi,

Thanks @Loofah Just my finger crushed.

Many thanks for cheering me up @wiseowl it worked and where did you get the picture of me from. I was younger then. :noidea:

Thanks Logan; finger not hurting as much this morning but not well enough for violin practice which hurts more; I did say a four letter word though "OUCH".

I spent yesterday morning downloading YouTube violin solo music but last night I found I had to convert the file format in order to use "Audacity" for editing; My plan is to shorten the music into lengths of about 40 secs each allowing me to play them in the studio on repeat by doing this I can learn each until I can play full length.

Pigeons are still cooing up our trees so I'll soon be nest hunting again but after removing three nests there's little to clean up each day which pleases me.

                          Kind regards, Colin.
