Whats Your Weather Like June 2023

They showed New York on the news this morning.

 

And I'm 500 miles closer than those in New York, southern Pennsylvania, etc. Our PM finally woke up to the fact that he'd better do something. Particularly since Joey Biden down there complained and is generously sending up fire fighting help.

 

I would have thought they would have sent some fire fighting help weeks ago.

 

Suns popped out, we had 13 but I'm guessing it's gone up a bit now, no sign of any rain, the farmers have started spraying the tattie fields already.

 

Just so you can see how our forest fires (now some arson is highly suspected) have launched heavy smoke and where. I am smack in the middle of the upper dark orange blob and as everyone can see there is another dark smoke cloud right over New York city itself. Those in surrounding states have a campfire smell to deal with and to the eyes, it feels about like high pollen days. Dry and itchy. The fires were ignited way up in the Quebec wilds near the top of the map and directly above Ottawa. It is only 59f so at least there is not humidity/high heat to contend with as well.

 

I think this sums it up yet again, brilliant sunshine but late April temperatures.

The sun came out almost 2 hours earlier than was forecast! (12 noon) A nice sunny & warm day here, at last! Even so that NE wind is still nagging away!

But we are fortunate as my sister-in-law in Spain has just sent my wife a video of torrential rain in Spain! At this very moment the rain is so intense that a manhole cover has burst open in the middle of the street!

We are expecting temps to get up as high as 28C on Saturday!

Just like the last few days we start the day with the blanket of clouds but today it is forecast to retreat back towards the east coast much quicker & earlier than yesterday. By 10am we should have clear skies

Temps will be around 23-25C Pollen levels are expected to be very high - for the first time this year! The UV levels will also be very high, especially around midday - time to get out the suncream & sunhat!
