    Hi all,
For a while i've been considering sowing wildflowers on my lawn, or maybe just clover. Im wondering if anyones tried this before. I have a small garden and i have a young child and a large dog who will be using said garden. Im thinking maybe they'll trample the flowers too much for it to be worth it?

Clover and grass work well together as clover fixes nitrogen from air to feed grass. Clover on its own is not hard wearing so you may end up with bare patches.

I think maybe I'll just go for some small widflower patches as it would be unfair for me to disallow my son and dog to play just for the sake of a few flowers. Maybe ill just fill the areas infront of my borders and between my shrubs

I started a clover lawn last year as there was too much moss, mowing and never looked nice. I seeded Dutch clover and this year it has taken off. The bees have just started visiting it. If kids and a dog are using it maybe micro clover with grass. It doesn't flower as much as Dutch.

Doesn't do it justice. My lavender is down the path so when you brush against it you get the nice smell.

Probably 3m x 2.5m front lawn. 2 holly bushes under window, laurel hedge down left. Rhododendron top left that's faded. Lavender along front and down right side. Silver birch tree that sparrows love going into and eating the flies.
