I have one of these and find it pretty good. Not up to tough long grass but great at light stuff and edging. There's two speeds by the way (I completely missed the switch for a while ) and I only use it on the higher speed. Get a decent amount of time on a charge too, longer than 20 mins :)

Strimmer worked a treat on a fully charged battery, easy to use, not too noisy and dealt with the long tough grass I was hoping it would tackle.

Took myself off to a plant sale today. Came back with a boot full of plants; including a couple of Fuchsia, a Clethra, another Mahonia, another Berberis (one day someone will decide whether Berberis are Mahonia or Mahonia are Berberis), a couple of ground cover Rubus, a pair of Disporopsisis and a hedychium.
Most of these to go in the space liberated by the winter tree removal plus a couple of replacements (same or different) for plants killed off by the summer drought or winter chill.

I got a couple of those bags of compost as well! I've finished 1 bag and I'm 80% through the other!

Crassula plegmatoides (originally thought was a Crassula deceptor)

Some type of Euphorbia. Maybe Euphorbia Enopla ‘Pincushion Euphorbia’ ???

Good haul @dowtish ! Where did you get them and were they expensive (if I may ask)? The Crassula in particular looks fun :)

Echeveria from Lidl £4-5. The Lidl near me gets some decent cacti & succulents usually before full gardening season kicks in. The other two were more expensive £8.99 :yikes: but couldn't help myself. They were from a Hillier garden center that's in Syon Park TW8 8JF hence the price tag.
Will try and behave myself for a little while until I get withdrawal symptoms :heehee:

Purchased this terracota pot today, from a local craft shop. The artisan who made it lives locally. 15 quid and will look fabulous on the white aluminium garden table.

Got myself another prezzie :) DSC_0845.JPG gunnera cryptica british hybrid of some sort. Apparently they are no true gunnera manicata in the country. It for my bog garden, I'll have to grow it on for a year or two.
