I get frustrated with that also, some folks seem not to be curious or something. Sometime I try to get them to "think" by asking a question, then you get that wonderment stare.

Anyway, a lovely Friday so far. 60 degrees.
Yesterday got down to the Amish market that sells garlic scapes, bought 3 huge bundles, chopped them up with my food processor, and they are now frozen inside some plastic shallow containers, will break them out and re-wrap and then freezer bags . I like to wack off a hunk when I don't feel like peeling garlic and toss a frozen hunk into the stew etc.
Cut some grass also yesterday, looks good in the back property, got the gazebo all organized with the summer funiture/cushions. Just puttering about today, house and garden.
    Always something to do.
    Have a good day all.

We live in a topsy turvy world!!!!

      Good morning everyone.

Predictably our predicted rain during the early hours never materialised!

We are having my older sister over for lunch today which will be very nice.

We have a few bits of grocery shopping to do first as we didn't walk into the town where my brother lives yesterday as it was too hot and the walk in is unshaded most of the way.

Hope you all have some nice plans for your day too.
      Enjoy.

        Morning all.

Another hot one ahead for us but it is lovely out there at the moment 22c with a fresh breeze. Should drop back to normal in the coming week.

Nothing on the cards the entire weekend.

Enjoy lunch with your Sister Upsy and hope the rain finds you ... but not whilst you are having lunch!

          Good morning Vicky.

Thanks. It was a cloudy start to our day but now the sun is up and out, thankfully a slightly ,and most welcomed , cooler day ahead, currently 19C.

You and J have a lovely relaxing day. :)xx

            Good day
It is 56f 12c and the sky doesn't have any clouds. The guessers say we will get up to the mid 70's and I'm really looking forward to that. :)

I've got laundry on the go and bread dough on it's first rise. The troughs in the greenhouses are now full with rain water and the house is lovely and quiet as granddaughter is still sleeping.

My to do list today includes making a potato salad, grilling some burgers and things, baking the pastry and assembling a pan of custard slices. I'm going to make myself some salmon burgers too. No one else in the family likes salmon but I love it and the shop had salmon bits on offer. I'm guessing they had problems doing proper cuts and landed up with lots of little pieces and decided to sell them off. I'll get about 6 burgers out of $6 so I guess that would work out to about 80p or 1/3 euro each. That suits me just fine :dbgrtmb:

And I have to go out again. I'm going to make sure granddaughters have their father's day cards and then we'll figure out a gift to make for them.

            Cheers :coffee:

Good Day. 3PM. Finally made it back home. Left house at 8:30AM. For the funeral. What a mess out there driving. Service was sweet. church beautiful. Lunch nice. Met up with some old friends. They had so much food leftover, we brought home stuff, so don't have to cook for 3 days. have to eat what's in the fridge.
Now on to other stuff. Take care all.

                Good morning to you all.:)

Well we have had...........no rain!!! Hopefully we will get some throughout the day .:fingers crossed:

Had a lovely day yesterday having my elder sister over for lunch. We ate outside then just relaxed and chatted for the rest of the afternoon with my sis and I enjoying a nice bottle of wine together.

Today is Father's Day , I have cut some flowers to take over to the cemetery and place on our parent's grave in recognition of the day.

Apart from that all I'll be hopefully doing is watching and listening to the rain.....all day long :fingers crossed: :dbgrtmb:

Have a super day, and if any Dad's have a sneaky peep on here today then...Happy Father's Day !!!:)

                  Morning all.

J has seen that house before! I must look for new pics again as this is my last view from a window.

We may be a couple of degrees lower today and maybe a storm tomorrow :loll:but Silves is a big County that goes from the sea to the mountains.

Internet is up and down like a yo-yo.

                  Our usual lazy Sunday here.

                    Morning Vicky.:)

Yes likewise we are down a bit on temps. today too and it's bliss!!!

I'm pondering too on my next lot of pics but still have another weeks worth to go yet .

Debating whether to have a thorough deadheading session as it could all look a bit of a mess after the rain ( said with great optimism) has knocked all the spent blooms/ petals off.......or would I be jinxing things..hmmmmm:scratch:

                    Have a Super Sunday xx.

                      Good day
It is 56f 12c and there are thin clouds covering the sky. It is still very bright which is nice.

Maybe some of my cooler temps have blown across the pond to you both.

I'm glad you had a lovely visit with your sister @Upsydaisy. @Victoria I would like a lazy Sunday too but, I'll settle for a lazy Monday. With our stupid time of use rates, my weekends are the only window when it is not too expensive to bake and vacuum and all the other housekeeping. At least in the summer I can line dry so not all that laundry has to wait until the weekend. Unless it rained all week like this one!

I just deadheaded all of my peonies. I really hated doing that but the rain pounding down on them day after day really pushed them to the ground. I managed to save a few blooms for my breakfast table and just love the smell.:spinning:

Granddaughter goes home tonight and unfortunately I'll be seeing less of her than I'd like this summer as she has got a part time summer job and is also attending summer school to get a year ahead on two of her subjects. The other 15 year old granddaughter has also applied for a part time job so that may also keep her too busy for visiting.

I'm off now to prepare for vacuuming and cleaning during commercial breaks while my Corrie is airing.

                      Cheers :coffee:

Morning all, 8AM, on a lovely Sunday, 58 degrees here now, suppose to get to 85 degrees.
Nothing major planned, just puttering about garden-beds and home stuff, whatever catches my eyes to be done/worked on. You know a womens work never done. LOL.
Still lots of leftovers in fridge, so maybe a fresh salad today later and then its pot luck for he and I,. thank goodnees for a microwave.
                        Take care all.

                          Good morning.:)

Well I'm feeling a tad happier today after an hour and a bit's worth of rain yesterday and hopefully so do all our plants too.

I haven't yet checked out the water butts but I'm optimistic that they might all have a drop or two in them :fingers crossed:.

The rain was more of a steady drizzle really but we're not complaining , we sat out on the patio under the parasol throughout it all. It was lovely to watch the birds enjoying it too.

We have a lovely sunny start to our day here and it's thankfully cooler too.

I have a few pots still to plant out that I withheld from doing in the heat and dry spell, but now the ground has been dampened I will get on and plant them out into the borders today.

A bit of housework to do first thing and then the rest of the day will be a 'go with the flow' one.

                          Have fun.

Morning all. We'll go for a tropical theme this week. I think your house got caught up in a cyclone, Upsy :hate-shocked:

Temp should be slightly cooler here too today which will be welcome. There will be storms in Central and North but I don't think they will come down here.

J meeting Donald today for a toastie, beer and natter. He will stop off at grocery store on way home.

It looks as if tomorrow will see our water
butts being filled.... a good old rainy day is on the cards, it will hopefully transform our parched and frazzled area.

I didn't have my Sunday soak yesterday so I will today and do a manicure and pedicure. Also cycle morning and go out front for an hour and fiddle with my Adenium nursery. That will fill the morning.

You have a good one too. Vxx
