Too hot for gardening so we decided to walk through some of the parks in Southampton and enjoy lunch out.

      We visited ..Andrews Park.
      Palmerston Park.
      Houndwell Park.

Not a lot going on along the water front ,1 Cruise Liner was in port and a huge Container Ship was being guided in by a Tug Boat.

I'll just put this in here as I dant really want to start a new thread, but went back to Benenden hospital today about my right knee, I had the left replaced last September.

They took X rays and said they would put me on the list for another replacement under the NHS at their hospital.
Apparently I need something done about the actual knee cap on this one as it is degraded.
He said they just pare the bone back to good material and plant a bit of plastic on, sounds a bit like joinery.

The actual knee joint will be the same as the one I had on the left knee.

It was my knee cap that was the problem and they put plastic liners/buttons in place.

Sorry, the title says on a day like this, I didn't realise it was a holiday thread.
I thought it was more about what you did on this day.

Yes. I had the ope because I slipped on a cobblestone (calcada) slope and knocked my kneecap out of its rocker. The knee cap was so bad my surgeon sent it off thinking it was cancerous ... but it wasn't. However, it had taken six months on the SNS/NHS to discover the problem hence me going private. Because of it I tripped up the step in the lounge and knocked my replacement hip stem through my femur! Both knee and revision hip op (same leg) healed perfectly. :dbgrtmb:

A slight mistake on Pete's part, should have been what he did apart from gardening. I have recently put something in the wrong section. ;)

Ok @pete seeing that it's you ...go ahead and recommend a good hospital and consultant in your area...who knows it might come in handy!;)

I created this 'On a day like this........'. thread on a cold ,wet and undoubtedly grey February day back in 2020 to cheer us all up and encourage happy Summer day memories of lovely places to visit. I thought it might also prove informative for any members visiting of planning s day out.

I don't mind if a mod @JWK or @wiseowl moves the relevant posts or deletes them, I would delete mine but then that would just make those that have replied look odd posts.
