Is that for me? I said I use sun block, but not back in the 1970s the sun tan oil was to help you fry.

I'm only getting 31c the strong wind is taking the edge off the temperatures, it is around the same as yesterday which is surprising as it was fairly cloudy at times yesterday but without the wind.

It is 77f 25c and super sunny. All of the rain yesterday is now providing us with high humidity so it feels a good deal warmer.

I sincerely apologies John, I totally misread your post .

That'll teach me to not attempt to read from a screen in full sunshine again.....the words mingle with the reflection of the sky.

So sorry, for obvious reasons I get a bit heated over this subject when flippant / complacent remarks are expressed.

A very long saga, but I will try and condense it..................
The village had a water supply problem, the mains pressure went up to 10 bar when it should have been a max of 2 bar, so burst water pipes, bust toilet cisterns all manner of problems, luckily all we had was a noise of running water. So they came out dug a hole in the garden under the kitchen window and decided the leak was under the house! A plumber arrived who cut a hole in the kitchen floor boards and discovered the leak was between the bricks in the cavity, so a new piece of pipe was fitted, all for free which was nice.
Now me being me I went for a crawl around under the house to have a shuffty, quite a bit of mud washed in by the pipe burst, but it's only an inch and it's drying out nicely. What wasn't so nice was I spotted active woodworm under the kitchen floorboards, so I've been under and lathered it in woodworm killer, checked the whole house(it's a bungalow) and the rest is clear, caught it early luckily. A bigger downside is as I've taken up the flooring, someone has decided I might as well re decorate the kitchen whilst I'm at it, so paint has been bought and new brushes, happy days decorating in this heat lol.

20c at 9:30 and the stiff breeze has dropped, pleasant outside for a spot of watering.

We've had light rain on and off which might continue for most of the week, we need it.
