If she actually has to walk from the station then she should phone in and say she is now unable to go in because the walking was too much for her and she is in too much pain.

I've ended up buying Cravendale as ordinary milk was going off in two days or so, not had much trouble with other stuff though, apart from potatoes with big black stains in them, but most potatoes are pretty ancient by now unless you are buying new ones.

I have a temperature gauge on my Fridge, I try and keep it to between 4c to 6c. I don't bother too much with use by dates, if it smells ok, it is ok.

At one point I was buying milk from a local dairy, they delivered 3 days a week.
The milk was going off after just 2 days in the summer, I'm guessing it was loaded on the van the night before then delivered next morning so probably not refrigerated for 12 hours at least.
It used to work ok in the old days because they delivered every day including Sundays, but three days a week just wont work in the summer.

I bought a bag of onions from Tesco on Friday. Opened the bag on Saturday, half of them were already rotten. I meant to complain but forgot.

I've also given up eating out. I've never gone for the posh nosh, just bar meals, but all my favourite pubs have really gone downhill. I understand they're struggling to balance rising costs with keeping it affordable, but I personally would rather pay a few quid more for quality than pay over a tenner per head for something I could have made better myself at home. Even our posh pub that was a rare treat was disappointing last time we went. Their food used to be worth the drive out, but last time their famous parmo with amazing home cooked chips was a scratty bit of chicken in cheese sauce served with frozen chips.

The government has said it is prepared for a "range of scenarios" following reports that Thames Water could be on the brink of collapse.

Here's an idea. Dwr Cymru is a not for profit water company - any spare cash they have is spent on maintaining and improving the water infrastructure - there are no shareholders draining the coffers (pun intended).

Biggest problem with all privatised industries is that the so called regulators are in the pockets of the people they are supposed to be policing.

They always seem to come down on the side of the company rather than the consumer, none of them appear to work in my eyes.

                        Just a little moan.
I'm not sure how people are uploading pictures but I'm finding lots seem to be just thumbnails that you have to click on and then it opens in a new window, and you have to do this with every and each picture, all new windows.
Its much easier if they are actually in the post to my mind, especially if there's lots of them, just scrolling down through is so much easier especially when trying to do comparisons.

It's down to not clicking the 'post as full image' option when creating a post.
Some of the admins do go through posts to correct it (not that it's a right/wrong thing) but we miss some

People who light a bonfire or smoky BBQ while I have washing out, some just don't think of others at all.

We've had a couple weeks of smoke from our neighbouring province and it doesn't stop me using outdoor's free drying service when it is not raining. :) None of my neighbours dry anything outside so I they must be filthy rich to afford using their dryer year round.

@pete I always try to remember to click full image but there are some that had taken me to a new tab outside of the forum and that I did not care for very much. There are only one or two member's video links that I click on too.
