Its a strange plant in that it can flower here in any season,..it always surprises me.

 

A garden tale,..23 years ago the house next to me had a Yucca aloifolia 'Spanish Bayonet',..which they decided to get rid of because it has such lethal needle like spines,..there were two small pups growing at the base and i asked for them,..i moved house twice taking them with me,..i knew they tended to bloom when mature,..mine never showed any sign,..until of late,..a huge shoot approx 90cm started growing from the middle of the tree and is producing large buds,..each bud has opened releasing several smaller buds one has produced a white tulip like flower,..hoping it keeps showing blooms.

We are waiting for our Yukkas to bloom. We had one we took to our place at the river ... and the sodding thing bloomed the year we sold it ...


My Sis sent a photo of her Yukka blooming in Florida and it was as you say, blooms like tulips, increduble.

And again I'm so enviously enjoying your rose photos , envious as much as I try I can't get cuttings of roses to take. Even the potato method gave me spuds but no rose bushes .

So its try try try again !!!!!!!
who knows I might get lucky , though I m sure I've tried over 3 times already.!!!!!!!

 

@Victoria ,..lovely image of the Yucca,..i did go aghaaa then ,..sods law that yours bloomed when you gave it away,..mine is now almost in full bloom,..captured images today but they are not uploaded to my laptop as yet,..got stuck into a new TV i purchased,..just to see the tennis next monday,..big screen 139cm/55 UHD Ultra,..rough job fitting it into the car

 

@Purple Streaks ,..thank you,..its odd to say the least ,..were it me i would keep trying you have to get one out of half a dozen.

Having problems with Microsoft log in,..i give them my password,..email address,..then they ask for phone number,..when i give it they say not recognised?,..they don't list Ireland on their list?,..their computer problem,..trying to wake them up before they block me.

Update to the progress of my Yucca,..its not quite in full bloom as yet but getting there.
