I'm not bothered about using Youtube videos, I use them all the time, its the thumbnails at the bottom of posts that require you to click on each one in turn just to be able to see the pictures, one is ok but some people are loading a dozen or so at a time and its just a bit annoying having to keep loading them all up.

If there are a lot you should be able to click on the first one and then click an arrow that is halfway down the righthand side of that photo. You can scroll through that way. :)

Doesn't the BBC have a separate channel for children's programmes?

If so, why am I getting a childrens full length film on at 6.15 after the evening news on a Sunday?
Its just crazy the rubbish they get away with.

I think that sir will find if it's this film: "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019)" that nowadays such things are deemed suitable for fully grown adults.

Make of that what you will...

That sort-of peeves me, but I haven't got a TV licence, so I would not ne tempted anyway.

Your right I just looked it up, total fantasy, even as a kid I never liked fairytails.
I think the world just went down this kind of road when that other load of old ****cks, lord of the rings started, since then the place is all full of kids.
If I was watching what they are showing tonight without a 10 yr old sitting near me I'd be embarrassed.

Yes, I have a TV, an elderly 40" Toshiba. which I use occasionally when The Boy comes to visit, for watching films (not "live broadcasts") from various sites on the 'net, or on more local stored media, usu. whilst (both are) drinking to great excess and philosophising. I could legally use it to view "catch up" offerings, but ICBA. I could use it (when The Boy is here) to watch films cast to the TV from his mobile device (as long as that's not plugged in to the mains!). The ways of the TV Licence are really quite bizarre - it's as if they're from another time (which they are, in fact). I do receive lots of threatening letters from TV Licencing, which I drop into the recycling. I do not break the law.

There was a period of time, even long after lockdown, when it was cheaper for me to refuel at the service station along the major dual carriageway on the way to work than it was to refuel at the supermarkets in town. Trouble is, I don't think many people realised this. I think the supermarkets simply took advantage of the fact that people just assume they're cheaper.

I notice Asda has been fined a whopping £60 000 by the regulator.
That will teach them not to rip us off, hang on, didn't the supermarkets between them make something like 900 million out of this scam.

From that, (the RAC says) "45-50mph is the most efficient speed to drive for fuel efficiency"

Why haven't we got a blanket 50MPH limit instead of 60 or 70? Fuel efficiency is inversely proportional to fuel consumption, and fuel consumption is proportional to CO2 emissions.

Because we can't upset 'the motorist'.

I don't know who The Motorist is, but he are she certainly seems to get upset a lot. There's always a news article about various attacks on the motorist, be it through the imposition of rules that The Motorist doesn't fancy, or apparently unfair penalties for breaking the rules.

I drive, but clearly I'm not The Motorist. I can't be. I've never really felt the rules are unfair and I've never been done for anything. Whoever The Motorist is, I'm glad they exist. Perhaps that's why I seem to get by ok, perhaps the world is so focused on harassing The Motorist that they simply don't have time to pick on me.
