Showers of drizzle until about 6pm. That was followed by no more than 15 minutes of sunshine and now it's back to cloud cover again. 15C/59F

          Good morning everyone.

Yesterday was a cloudy and windy day with a few sunny intervals, especially in the morning. During the afternoon we had 3 or 4 hours of very low background rumblings that came & went. We saw no lightning or heard any thunder claps but we did get a couple of heavy showers.

It wasn't a very warm day with the strong SSW winds but we did manage to get up to about 22C.

For today we are forecast a calmer day with lighter winds & perhaps more & longer sunny spells. Even so temps are not expected to be higher than yesterday with only 22-23C. At present we have 12-13C. The skies are a little milky but the sun will probably burn a lot of it away.

Shortly after I posted on here yesterday afternoon saying that I have put the sprinkler out we had a monsoon! It didn't last too long but the garden is loving it. During the downpour I didn't go out and turn off the sprinkler as I'm not a very good swimmer.

This morning is sunny and warm in the sun but not too warm in the shade.

The fire near us is still "in vigilance" and there is an even bigger one near Lisbon. Tis the season ...

Metcheck says Lisbon (where the spring onions come from) high temperature will be 30, low 19, "scorchio" and no rain.

Here near MK it is mostly cloudy, small chance of little rain, low of 13 tonight, high of 20 afternoon to early evening.

The soil's nice and warm though. Dig in a trowel when weeding and it can be felt.

I don't know about Spring Onions, only Lemons.

Maybe I should move further North, although we will drop nearer normal temps this coming week. :fingers crossed: My county of Silves ...
