    Good day
It is chilly 56f 12c and a good way to start the day as the guessers say it will get warm and possible thunderstorms.

We had heavy rains and winds night before last so there was a lot of planting propping up to do however I did get the bonus of one rain barrel being chocker block and the other larger one is 2/3 full - a total collection of roughly 80 gallons of free water :)

I'm glad you had fun with your friends @Victoria. @Michael Hewett I admire your patience. You must have a boatload of it to enjoy nurturing plants that aren't continually thirsty. I have a friend whose husband has been trying patiently, for years, to get me to become a good cactus/orchid keeper. These last plants he gave me are lasting the longest :fingers crossed:

No @Upsydaisy I'm not overdoing it. Just running "from pillar to post" type busy, not overworked busy.

And talking about running, I'll have to get in gear here!

    Cheers :coffee:

Wow that was a long time ago Vicky must've been a fantastic catch up!!
      Love the tree house

Michael I expect our son would've gone on to acquire a good collection too if he hadn't had the interruption of Uni....it was bad enough carting our sons back and forth with all their stuff at holiday times..we always had two at Uni at the same time..let alone a prickly collection as well! :heehee:

Lori I hope all your plants have escaped serious damage. We have a weather warning placed here tomorrow for strong winds ( I think the whole country has too) so I've been out bringing plants in for shelter or moved into protective corners of the garden in readiness.

        Afternoon all, 2PM here.
Just busy, but I am here. caught up in just stuff. Very hot, says its going to rain. But been watering pots as they are wilting.
My new washer working well, I am putting it to task these two days. Folding Folding Folding, hate that job.
Still holding off on cutting grass, one more week, then the timing will be good for our away.
Love that tree trunk house, @Victoria , can certainly make a tale or two from there. A couple times in our woods a tree will up root itself with a good storm, so all the roots are up and visuable, thinking of a mystery story found in those roots.
Well back to stuff, we all have stuff. Have a good one all.

          Good morning everyone.

Not looking forward to today's weather , I think all curtains and blinds well remain pulled!! I can't watch all our plants that are in full bloom being battered by the winds. I don't like strong winds at the best of times....but in mid Summer it's heart breaking to sit and watch all the beautiful blooms being blown away.:sad:

          I am officially hibernating today...

Have restful day and it you are experiencing any kind of extreme weather ...take care.

            Morning all.

A lovely change to wake up to NO SUN beaming in the window. It is 20c with a light breeze. Our heatwave may have broken and I certainly hope so. It will be sunny, warm and breezy later but it shouldn't be the extreme temps we have been experiencing.

Hope it is not too bad for you Upsy.

            Have a good weekend everyone.

Morning Vicky.....I'm not looking outside so couldn't really say what's going on out there. The curtains are flapping at the open windows and it SOUNDS very windy....but on the plus side we still are holding on the the last remnants of sunshine ..for now.

Glad it's cooler for you..enjoy. I hope our youngest and his 11 friends are being sensible in the heat . :fingers crossed:

              Enjoy your day.

:yay: Just got my blood results through and all seems within normal range to me. I'll see if I hear from Dr Bueno first of the week. If not, I will contact.

Been forgetting to say we haven't seen any interlopers in more than a month.

Yesterday I got my Avon Almond/Orange Blossom Body Lotion from Bulgaria ... lovely.

Still overcast although the sun peeked out earlier.

                  Good day
It is very humid and 68f. The sun is trying to break through but it is a feeble effort!

@Victoria you just reminded me to check my results too - I hope my levels are as good as yours.

@Upsydaisy I swear that whatever summer weather I get, you receive it three days later. We had those nasty winds mid week and they knocked down lots of pretty plants.

I've got a list of things to do that is as long as my arm so I best get on.

                  Cheers :coffee:

Good day all. 7:15PM. yep, evening.
Up late, we went to a craft event at a garden place, Wintertrope, I can get a link later. Its a well well known, mansion, garden, musum combination. Walked a lot.
Keep threatening to rain, wish it would hurry up and rain. I keep watering all the pots etc.

My yearly physical is not until December, and they put my bloodwork results right away on line, so I just give it a look. So far all has been great. One shows I should drink more water. But that is it.
                    Later.

                      Morning everyone. :)

:phew: Those winds yesterday certainly caused a few issue out in the garden. Still a bit breezy but nowhere near as strong as it was and now have lots of lovely sunshine this morning.:smile:

Today will be a day of assessing the garden and putting the various pots back in their original positions.

Vicky he's way down in southern Italy, we had a video call from him yesterday afternoon and it was nudging the high 30s with feel likes in the high 40s.. They're getting plenty of warnings and advice and the staff at the beach club where they're staying are keeping good checks on their guests. :dbgrtmb:
It's already in the 30s there this morning.

Sister-in-law and family have a high of 39C today but fortunately as is the case in hot countries the humidity is low which hubs says make a world of difference. :)

                      Have a great day everyone.

                        Good day,
It is 68f 17c and still very humid but there is some blue in the sky today and with that in mind, the bed linens are in the washer and will be going out on the lines soon.

It is my usual Sunday. I'll be puttering and watching Corrie.

                        Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. Haven't looked a theme up yet.

It is a beautiful morning here with sun and a fresh breeze, only 16c, a Spring temp for us, lovely.

Upsy, sadly the Brits in particular have to be warned about high temps. The other day on Euro News Germany was putting out warnings about jumping into water (pools/rivers/lakes) ... then here in Albufeira a 30 year old British man on holiday with family jumped into the swimming pool at their hotel the day we had 37c+ and died of a heart attack.

Pleased you didn't suffer much damage with the winds.

A quiet day on the cards here. Probably won't even need to water everything, maybe the odd plant or two, didn't have to yesterday, not having bedding plants.

                          Have a good day everyone.

Edit. I thought this posted at 8.15am!

                              Good morning.:)

red star what a fabulous place to visit!!! It seems to have something of interest for everyone.:)

Oh no..the warnings weren't directed purely at them because they were British Vicky. There are general warnings going out to everyone there..... even the locals aren't use to such high temps!!. Not just by staff at these holiday places they are broadcasted on the radio and TV for everyone.

Had a good day out in the garden yesterday, we trimmed the lane side hedge as it's had a real growth spurt these last couple of weeks. Tidied up the debris and damage caused by Saturday 's winds, mind you it was still blowing strongly out there yesterday!! :rolleyespink:
Looking back at past garden pics it's clear too see that our cold Winter and hot late Spring/ early Summer have delayed Mother Nature by about 3 weeks...just hope we don't get an early Autumn otherwise there could be some bloomers that we won't get to see !!!

A nice day ahead and the winds have finally ceased so I will return the Lillies to the borders , .all my latest salad sowings have germinated well and need pricking out too.:)

                              Have a marvellous Monday.
                              :spinning:
