Had a little walk down the beach, and had a go at that rock balancing milaki that seems to be a thing these days. Evidently I'm not a master of this art.

Oh and just in case any kids or dogs came along after we'd gone, we knocked them down so they couldn't fall on anyone's toes.

Had a look at the Littlewoods catalogue online. They've started getting the Christmas decorations in or pre order. I've ordered this Santa, it's 45cm tall and can stand on its own, also it was reduced price from £29.99 to £23.99, I'll get it early September. I know people will say that it's too early to think about it, but have to order early.

A chap is coming to paint my bathroom and kitchen ceilings so I bought a large tin of white paint and put it in the back of the car.
When I went to get it out today, it fell as I was opening the door, and tipped upside down. The lid came off and the paint poured out.
There's now a big patch of Brilliant White on the curb and road, and on the wheel and mudguard of my car, and when I drove the car down the road it left a trail of white marks all the way down the hill :heehee:
I was able to scoop much of the paint up and put it back in the container but it's full of gravell from the gutter.

Some years ago I bought 5 ltrs of white wall paint, put the can in the footwell of the passenger seat and drove off, of course it fell over and the lid just fell off.
I drove home with the paint just washing backwards and forward under the passenger seat, it was a nightmare trying to clean it up.

Oh dear ! At least mine went on the road, I suppose I should be grateful
Sorry for laughing but I tend to see the funny side of things :heehee:

It was a long time ago and I laugh about it now, I stopped and slung the can into a carpark, I was that fed up at the time.

If I buy paint now I always tape the lid on before driving off.

We spent today exploring some of the old buildings in our lovely city of Winchester.

This pub is one of the oldest in England and was given as a gift to Queen Emma who was the 1st crowned Queen of England.

@Michsel Hewitt and @pete. Sorry but I have laughed too but know it is not funny. But why is it when you get the paint home you can't open the tin?
